Profile
L iving within Bellis Meadow is a quiet girl named Nico Bellrose. She is intelligent book-wise, but having been raised alone by her grandmother, she has trouble talking to people she doesn't know, and is incredibly shy. After meeting a young gardener on a chance encounter though, she decides to adventure and learn more about plants, slowly growing out of her shell.
The Thorned Rose
Nico has always felt alone after her grandmother's passing, being left to care for herself and teach herself everything she has ever known. In truth, her grandma had always been rough with Nico, as Nico had been as a child energetic and carefree. But her grandmother disliked this energy, and Nico trying to gain approval of her, had become reclusive and shy to default. She had always wanted to do more with her life, but always felt confined to staying in the cottage because of her Grandmother's deep rooted beliefs that Dainties should never meet non-dainties or outsiders.
The Daisy Within the Rose Petals
One day, while weeding her garden, Nico found a lost girl collapsed within the meadow. At first glance she had thought that she was beautiful. With soft, white hair and beautifully crafted clothing, Nico had wondered how such a delicate girl had wandered so far from civilization. But also deep fear was within her heart. Nico had alays been taught that outsiders were barbarians that would ostracize and kill her race. Her thoughts were racing. Despite this, Nico overcame her fears, and rushed the girl home, cradling her in her arms.
The Buds of New Beginnings
Ethel had awoken to a cozy home, covered in blankets. The world seemed fuzzy, but a sense of warmth eminated from where she was. She had felt safe at that moment, away from the people she faced at her home. There was a girl in front of her, she realized. She looked so beautiful, and her breathe was taken away. For a moment, she wished she could stay forever.
After taking the girl home, Nico nursed her back to health, and although she had been hesitant, and a but scared of her, the girl was gentle, and sweet. She learned the girl's name was Ethel, and that she had ran away from an abusive home. For Nico, the idea of an abusive home was not far from how she had felt with her grandmother, and she felt incredibly connected to Ethel because of this. They became best friends as Nico helped her, and soon Ethel began to teach her more about the plants and wildlife around her. Nico one day asked her if she minded them living together. Ethel had accepted straight away. Before they had even known it, they had fallen in love.
Trivia
- Nico loves to drink tea, and collects flowers and herbs while she explores with Ethel to brew.
- She is an extreme pushover because of her past, and has trouble being herself without other's approval.
- Nico dislikes reading books, despite this she's incredibly good at memorizing the content of books. She would be a great teacher.
- Is bad at organization. Nearly everything she owns is just a bit messy.
- She has bad insomnia, and stays up late drawing or working on little projects with her plants. Ethel is extremely perturbed by this and tries to cuddle with her most of the time to make her sleep.
- She is incredibly loyal to those she loves.
Design Notes
- Freckles dust across the bridge of her nose.
- Her eyes are a soft blue.
- Her hair is in a pixie cut, and sometimes Ethel braids small parts of it.
- She dislikes wearing confining clothing, often wearing small, flowy dresses with a smock for gardening.
- In her left ear is a bronze rose earring she made for herself.
- The sleeves of her dress are held up by small fabric daises.
luream is a young wizard who recently discovered his powers. sadly, because of a disease with his blood, he can't travel the world like other wizards do, and has become bitter because of his lost state. he is rude to all of the people in his life, including suki, although he does secretly enjoy her company.
luream could be considered one of the most powerful out of the wizards in the land, to the point where he could bring those from heaven back to the real world. a rare practice, only a few angels roam the earth, some disguising themselves as humans, just like suki. she is one of the few left.
suki, while she does respect luream for bringing him back, highly dislikes his attitude, but is unaware of the reasons that he stays inside. she is ignorant to his reasons, and if luream swallowed his pride and told her, she would definetly be more understanding. For now she thinks he's an antisocial loser.
