Along the pathway between the portals, you lumbered along without much a care. Suddenly, a portal opens up right in front of where you were walking and out runs a figure looking slightly disheveled. They then quickly sit down and try to catch their breath. As they are doing this, you come a tad closer and ask if they’re alright.

The figure jumps slightly and holds their tail’s pointed tip in a way that it is aimed directly at you. Once looking at you and noticing you don’t look anything like what was previously chasing them, the figure calms down and speaks. “Sorry for that. I was startled after having thought I got away from the coppers that were chasing after me.”

Asking what the figure was doing to have the authorities running after them, they reply, “Not much of anything really. They view my very existence as being that of a no good delinquent that they don’t even stop to look into what I may or may not actually be doing. Hell this time I was just minding my own business in the park while trying to get away from the drama of the factory.”

The two of you sit for awhile chatting and you learn some of the struggles he has faced regarding the prejudice he faces from the authorities on a constant basis and the insanity that is the factory he lives and works at.

“Thanks for listening. It feels good to actually have someone take notice and listen to my voice for once, actually hearing and seeing me as a person and not a problem.” As he starts to head back to the portal he came out of, he turns to you and says, “If your ever in my neck of the woods, hit me up. It’d be nice to hang some more and chat. Maybe that time I can let you vent instead of just me. Heh.” And then he heads back through the portal from whence he came.
