Lazarus, once a normal cat with beautiful gray fur, lived a charmed life as a beloved Chief Officer at the "Pawsitive Paws Retirement Home" in a quiet suburban city. His intelligent and charming nature made him the center of attention. However, all of that changed when the apocalypse arrived, shattering the tranquility he had known. The world was thrown into chaos, overrun by zombies, contaminated resources, and areas tainted by radiation. Lazarus' idyllic life was abruptly replaced by the harsh reality of survival.

In the midst of this upheaval, Lazarus exhibited incredible bravery. He came to the aid of a young girl who was cornered by a group of zombies, fending off the creatures to protect her. But in the process, he sustained a grievous injury. A zombie bite pierced his skin, injecting him with the deadly infection that would lead him down the path of becoming one of the undead.

It was a twist of fate that brought Boomer into his life. Boomer, a kind and resourceful survivor, arrived just in time to save Lazarus from the full transformation into a zombie. The infection had already taken hold, and the zombification process was underway. Boomer's intervention halted the process, but not without consequences.

Lazarus lost the sight in his right eye, a permanent reminder of the danger he faced. His once-pristine gray fur underwent a peculiar change, turning a shade of green, a visual manifestation of his unique status as a being caught between life and undeath.

Now, Lazarus battles daily with the zombie-like urges that threaten to consume him. The primal instincts to consume brains and bite people weigh heavily on his conscience, but he finds solace in Boomer's unwavering support. Together, they've made a pact: to feed only from already deceased sources, keeping Lazarus' urges and his ongoing zombification process at bay.

Roaming the post-apocalyptic world with Boomer by his side, Lazarus faces not only the physical challenges of survival but also the internal struggle to remain true to his identity. They share a common goal, seeking a cure that could reverse Lazarus' unique condition, allowing him to reclaim the life he once had.

Trivia

♦ Lazarus has a few unusual and unexpected zombie allies. He has managed  to form a non-aggressive understanding with a group of docile zombies,  allowing him to navigate certain areas more safely.

♦ Lazarus' eyes have an unusual property where they reflect light at  night, giving them a slight luminescent glow. This feature makes him  eerily visible in the dark, which can be both advantageous and  unsettling.

♦ Lazarus can whip his tail with great force and speed, using it  defensively to fend off attackers or create distance between himself and  threats. It becomes an effective tool against zombie  adversaries.

♦ Lazarus' partial zombification might have affected his digestive system, rendering it incompatible with regular food. 

♦ Lazarus' immunity to radiation is a result of the unique combination of  his half-zombie, half-alive nature. The zombification process he  underwent granted him a level of resilience and adaptability to  environmental hazards, including radiation exposure.

♦ Lazarus has developed a clever system of marking safe routes and  potential danger zones in the areas they traverse. His marks help guide  the group and minimize risks, showcasing his resourcefulness.

Relationships

Boomer saved Lazarus of the process of zombification. He was there at the right time and could stop the process halfway through. Since that day, both roam together and consider each other as friends. Lazarus know he has a loyal friend in Boomer, even though most people doesn't trust him because of the zombie part.
