Coming from a family of poverty, you’d think Izumi would be more distant or have an attitude, but he doesn’t. In fact, he has a very friendly and bubbly personality towards strangers and his friends. He has a bad habit of sticking his nose into other peoples business, mainly just his close friends, because it’s his way of trying to help and make them feel better. Izumi likes to live freely and have fun in life, believing that if he takes it too seriously, he might miss out on something amazing.

Everyone has their faults, and Izumi is no different. He’s a little ‘loose’ when it comes to intimacy and isn’t shy about voicing it when it comes to someone he’s interested in. Of course if the person he’s interested in is taken he’ll back off and not bother them in a sexual way anymore. However, if they’re not, it’s hard for Izumi to just stop his flirting. If the other person were truly bothered by it, he would stop, but if not and it was only half fought, he would keep going through with his advances; jokingly and serious at the same time.

The one thing that Izumi takes seriously is his music. It’s the one thing he wont joke about and puts his heart and soul into. If anyone were to try to put him down about his singing, music or anything relating to that matter, he would snap instantly and it would be hard to regain his forgiveness. He can joke about dancing, since he can be goofy when practicing, but he holds his voice and music above all else.

★ Summary

It wasn’t always easy for the Zakai family. For as long as they could remember, they grew up in poverty, living in borderline rundown apartments and houses, struggling to keep their bills caught up. It was something that Izumi was used to considering he had lived in it his whole life. However as he started going to school, he was the target of bullying due to his poor life situation. He didn’t understand it at first, but as he grew older he started to realize why he was being bullied so much. Izumi never liked to retaliate, he hated fighting; but he would only fight back if his family was mentioned.

He began to hate going to school and the only friends he had were the ones like him; stuck in poverty. Still, as he made friends, he also began to feel the need to protect them as well; like he did with his family. He wouldn’t stand for someone picking on his friends and making them feel bad and defended them with everything he had. When it came to himself though, he didn’t care about what was said about him.

He found that one of the things that made him feel better about his life was singing. He didn’t like for anyone to hear him, so he mainly sung to himself when no one else was around no matter what he was out. As long as he could sing at least once every day, it always put him in a better mood and not even the bullying could bring him down. Eventually, one of his friends was able to sneak up on him while he was singing one day and was amazed at how beautiful his voice sounded. He tried telling Izumi that he should sing more and try to make something of himself with that, but in the beginning Izumi was too nervous and scared.

Izumi spent some time thinking it over but he forgot all about it when he first became interested in someone. Ironically it was one of his ex-bullies that attracted him. He didn’t know how or why and he tried to ignore it at first; blaming it on puberty. It didn’t last long though, and soon Izumi found the confidence in himself to approach his ex-bully. The subtle hints that his newfound interest was attracted to him as well is what pushed Izumi to keep trying and eventually build his confidence up to what it is in present time.

The first time they slept together was awkward and painful, but Izumi got used to it and became a little addicted as well. This new form of pleasure to him was sought out often, though it was only with people he actually knew; never anyone random. He would have been happy with how his life was turning out but was reminded of what his friend had said prior when he was gifted with recording equipment from the same friend. Turns out, his friends had all saved up to get something for him to record music with for his birthday after his first friend told them about Izumi’s singing.

From then on, Izumi decided to actually try for this music thing. If his friends had this much confidence in him, it couldn’t hurt to try. He was very nervous, but he made himself do it. At first he stuck to youtube, occasionally uploading his music videos there, but being too scared to look at the comments or anything about the video at all. After about a year of uploading on youtube, he finally decided to look at how they were doing and was amazed at what he found. It started out small, but eventually each video gained more and more popularity. It was the final turning point of what gave him the biggest push to continue following his dream.

Now, Izumi lives more comfortably than he ever has before along with the rest of his family. He isn’t ‘world’ famous or anything, but he’s famous enough to be able to go out and people will instantly recognize him. He’s had a few concerts and has been featured in many different magazines. Izumi still currently does mostly everything on his own aside from the help he gets from higher ups in the music industry.

• When he gets really excited or happy, the stars in his ears and on his tail start to glow
• He’s afraid to be in crowded or small spaces (claustrophobia) but on stage he’s fine
• He’s had many different lovers but never an actual relationship
• Despite how happy and outgoing he is, he does get nervous meeting someone else; especially famous people
• Has a hard time running everything on his own (even if he looks like he has it all together)
• Can play the violin, piano, guitar and drums
• Got into an accident as a child and caused him to lose sight in his eye (doesnt like to talk about it)
• His voice is Kradness, I just cant find a song that isn't completely autotuned
