Personality
His piety has always angered him. He was kind of a self-indulgent pat on the back for his efforts, being so generous and willing to help, when in reality he offered nothing to anyone but himself. It would have been better to understand him or help him; even polite indifference would have been in some ways kinder than pity. He hated pity.
He feels pity all the time, oodles of it, for himself, for his dead mate, for the ones who try so hard but just never quite seem to gei it. He feels it often enough to know the difference between that and what he feels now.

BEFORE
A simple boy who was taken to war. Diffuse memories that have been lost over time and an act that marked him for life with a new identity, leaving behind the person he once tried to be. A test container, an experiment, a failure. A servant to the nobility, someone who has been discarded after his final time of service. A wanderer, a loner.
NOW
A lost man, but useful. "I'm not here because I want to be here. I am here because I am needed." He says. A loyal man who works to give meaning to his endlessly life, seeking a destiny without needing answers for the past or the future. A gambler and an adrenaline addicted, a loner in search of his own end.
