- Frenchie is a townie working at Pawbuster Video during the nightshift, yet she doesn't seem to be doing much work. Always reading a magazine behind the counter and some form of candy in her mouth.
✦ Billie, her coworker, has yet to figure out her secret despite her desperate attempts to get their attention. Choosing the perfect scary movies for her to watch yet somehow nothing sticks!
She has a secret and is forced to keep it but Billie is on the case...yet has no idea they are even trying to solve it!
SPOILER FOR SECRET:
Frenchie is actually Frankie Monroe, born 1935 and died 1955 on her 20th birthday. She was murdered and thrown into the trunk of a black 1955 Packard Clipper and driven into the lake of Stillwater. Still to this day her body has not been found so her spirit is bound to the area, yet she has found comfort in her new position as cashier. Billie makes it tolerable.
- "Frenchie" is a ghost, stuck forever in Stillwater until her body can be recovered from its untimely tomb.
✦ She cannot be seen "properly" during the day and in fact ceases to fully exist until dusk every evening when her shift starts.
✦ Someone must recognize her? Has she really changed that much that no one does? If only her family knew how close she was to them...
