Calvin is the guy who oversees the construction of new apartments and the upkeep of existing ones. Everything from the layout of the apartments to the implementation of lead plating in the radioactives' apartments was (mostly) designed and built by him. In addition he's skilled at cooking, especially with anything containing dairy products.
