Benny is very excitable and playful, which is rather common for her species, but she prefers working over sleeping and would rather be in the company of humans or other alien species than her own species, the Khitellis. They're highly organized and frequently enjoy helping the captain keep the rest of the crew in order. They're quite social and frequently go to clubs and bars when they have free time while grounded on a planet.
- His real name is Belurlis Jav, but he humanized his name because he prefers human company.
- He was a space traveler even before he came to Earth and joined NASA. He was inspired by a human space explorer that landed on his home planet to stock up on supplies.
- Their species is extremely similar to Earth's felines.
- She can stand quadrupedally or bipedally, but she prefers to be quadrupedal if she needs to squeeze in a tight spot or get somewhere fast.
- She is the closest member of the crew to the captain because the two share a language, having grown up on the same planet.
- They love to socialize with other species and enjoy appreciating cultures from other planets.
- Aircraft Artillery Master
- Benny is the only one who's actually small enough to fit in the small cockpit designed for controlling the ship's built in lazer. He uses the lazer to clear asteroids and other debris out of the ship's path and to defend the ship.
- Tiny Mechanic
- Though the ship already has a main mechanic and technician, some spots are too small for him to fit into. Benny will take over these jobs, following instructions from the mechanic to resolve any issues with the ship.
- Weasel
- Benny, despite her bright colors, will easily slip past most people when on all fours. She sneaks around to eavesdrop on her crew mates or "borrow" the belongings of others.
- Stickers are rarely in the same place or the same type but are usually bandaids, stars, green aliens, etc.
- Stickers, helmet, and belt are all optional and can be drawn interchangeably.
- Collar is connected to helmet, the two can't be drawn separately.
- Piercings are not optional to draw.
- Khitellis have no pawpads and only have claws on the front legs, otherwise looking very similar to cats and are slightly fox-like.
Aesthetic
Benny has a very arcade aesthetic and is most definitely is very stereotypically "space themed". Think 80s and 90s future aesthetic, arcades, etc. They're also very confident, and they love to wander through streets and visit clubs late at night.
Accessories
Benny's accessories are their helmet, their belt, and the stickers that they love to cover their arms and legs with. The stickers come from all kinds of different planets, but usually they prefer the ones that they have in a little hoard of "earth souvenirs".
Body Markings
The two stripes on Benny's tail are important. You can determine a Khitelli's sex based off the amount of dark stripes on their tail. A female Khitelli would have one, a male Khitelli would have three, and an intersex or sexless Khitelli would have two. Since Khitellis frequently shed their fur and their genetics are rather strange, their markings sometimes "shift", causing a sort of chameleon effect. The markings are generally always the same type of marking, but they may move places if a Khitelli sheds enough fur.
Backstory
Benny was raised by a loving but rather closed off family. On her home planet, she rarely met new people, even from her own species. The first time he ever saw somebody who wasn't a Khitelli was when he met a space explorer who came to the planet to stock up on supplies for a long journey ahead. From then on they wanted to be an astronaut like the human they met, but their family worried for them and told them not to leave the planet. Eventually they got old enough and bought a ticked for a travel ship to Earth, their sights on NASA. He trained vigorously, keeping to a firm schedule and having a no-nonsense attitude about this. Finally, she was hired as an astronaut by NASA, and assigned to her current crew.
