Generally, Ciaran is a very stand-offish person who seems more concerned with his work than other people. The Ermensinde Supernaturals were tasked with protecting the beings within the universe, so he has based his entire existence off of work. There is nothing more important to him than his work merits, which has lead him to aggressive perfectionist tendencies. Ciaran is obsessed with being right because otherwise, he believes he is not valuable as a person. His mentality is partially due to the inherent purpose of supernaturals, which is to serve and protect the mortal beings within it. Many of Ciaran's general interests tie back to his job as a Banisher. It's easy to call him an obsessive workaholic, but beneath that desire to do his job well is a person who desperately wants to understand the world around him. Ciaran is a curious person at his core and wants a full understanding of how the world works from a logical standpoint. It is the way he best understands it, so it's what he pursues. He's frequently found exploring the environments he lives in, tinkering with random objects, or reading about things he's curious about to better understand his world. Beyond just making Ciaran better at his job, he finds that he is able to quell his endless curiosity about things he does not understand. In a way, Ciaran's desire to understand the world around him is due to his inability to understand the people around him.

Beneath Ciaran's aloof exterior is a person who often feels alienated from the world around him. Ciaran has always found navigating social landscapes challenging, so he tends to avoid it all together. Ciaran's desire for straightforwardness and his perfecionist tendencies leads to many frustrating interactions with his colleagues. While he is generally a conscientious person, his idea of diligency and doing what is considered right often does not align with the people around him. Ciaran gets very irritated when he cannot see eye-to-eye with the people around him, which leads to him making rude remarks or lashing out at them in the heat of the moment. He is widely acknowledged as a skilled person when it comes to the logistics of his job, but is quite judgmental as a person. He is inflexible and stubborn about what he thinks is correct and when that's paired with his general lack of regard for social conventions, it leads to people assuming he's arrogant and inconsiderate. Ciaran paid no mind to it until it began impacting his life at work. Ciaran's insensitivity led to people not wanting to work with him despite his skills. By the time he graduated, Ciaran's skills couldn't justify having him in environments where teamwork was essential. This led to his stationing in New Diamanda, which caused him to re-evaluate his approach to handling the people around him.

At his core, Ciaran is a person who cares deeply for the world and the people who live in it. After being made aware of his flaws, he has worked endlessly to better himself without sacrificing his integrity to himself. All of his work and the efforts he makes are his way of being good and trying to make the world a better place. To be good himself is to be good to the world. Ciaran is a very softhearted person beneath it all. He is not the nicest person, but he tries his best to be kind. Ciaran is quite sensitive about people's perception of his values and who he is as a person. He still has little care for social conventions, but he is concerned about the way people interpret his values and his intentions.

After being stationed at New Diamanda, Ciaran was able to better form genuine bonds with the demons around him. Many of them seemed to share his feelings of alienation while in school. For the first time, Ciaran was recognized as an individual rather than based on his work merits. This understanding helped Ciaran discover positive aspects of his personality that many people had interpreted negatively up until this point. While his rudeness was something he needed to work on, his straightforward nature made it very easy to express love to the people around him. Ciaran is very honest about his feelings and will make sure his actions reflect that. Ciaran makes sure there is no room for people to assume he has dubious intentions or two-faced behaviors. What you see with him is exactly what you get. Once he is close with someone, he will demonstrate undying loyalty to them. Ciaran will stand with the people around him through thick and thin, even going as far as to try to be dependable for them when things go awry. He isn't the type of person to express his affection through material goods or beautiful words, but rather through his actions and by being present. Ciaran was able to grow due to the people around him, helping him rebuild his confidence in his abilities and help him see the world through a lens he hadn't before.

Cats They are his friends.

Sightseeing Ciaran loves to explore the environment around him so he can effectively do his job. He also loves finding private spots where he can be alone.

Cleaning Ciaran is very nitpicky about keeping his spaces tidy. This also applies to the city and its layout.

Tinkering He enjoys picking up scraps and junk from the ground/junkyards in order to give it new life.

He takes care of a lot of the cats roaming New Diamanda. His favorite cat is a brown cat he named 'Sausage'.

His favorite food is custard bread.

Ciaran hated New Diamanda during his first six months of living there.
