FIGHTING STYLE
Marshie may look harmless, but his skills in battle should never be underestimated. His physical strength rivals that of the strongest Fighting-types, allowing him to smash his way through large obstacles and lift things much heavier than himself with relative ease. Thanks to his Technician ability, his weaker moves still pack quite a punch. He’s incredibly agile, and can move around the battlefield with remarkable speed. When he hides in the shadows, his agility increases tenfold, and he gains the advantage of sneaking up on others without being spotted.

Although his strength and speed are nothing to scoff at, Marshie’s defensive stats leave much to be desired. He’s essentially a glass cannon; his attacks are incredibly powerful, but a few good hits can leave him down for the count. It takes him a few seconds to recover from being knocked back, so opponents who hit quickly and accurately are his greatest weakness in a fight. He tries to dodge or counter when he can, but his reaction time is rather hit or miss, and he has a bad habit of freezing up when he sees an oncoming attack. Additionally, he tends to let his guard down a little too easily, especially when fighting someone up close.

Like all marshadow, Marshie’s trademark ability is hiding in the shadows. By observing and copying his opponent’s movements from within their shadow, he can learn their fighting style and beat them at their own game. When using the move Shadow Sneak, Marshie can take control of nearby shadows and pull them up from the ground to change their shape. He can create a shadowy hand to grab and throw things, or a wall of shadows to block an oncoming attack (though it disappears once it’s been hit).

Unlike other members of his species, Marshie struggles to harness the powers of Z-Energy, and can only use it in very small increments. As a result, his transformation into his Zenith Form is brief and unpredictable. His inability to control large amounts of Z-Energy also prevents him from using his Z-Move.
