Philo
German Shepherd | Adult | Male

About

Philo played the family dog on a TV sitcom called "Everyone's happy" back in the 40's. He wasn't the main focus of the show and sometimes wasn't seen on a few episodes. Most of the time he was in the background although sometimes he got his own episodes like the first pilot episode and an episode called "Gone Fishing" where he stopped two criminals from doing harm to his boy owner James and his best friend Flint after they went out fishing alone.

His distinct features are the scratch marks on his muzzle, his ability to open door/cabinets, his fierce protective nature, and his love for coffee.

After four seasons the show came to a satisfying end. Philo the star dog was to be dumped off at a shelter since the studio no longer needed him. Richard, the boy who played James, instead adopted the dog as they grew close to each other on set. Philo lived happily in retirement as a real family dog.
