Severus

Severus is a Hovercraft Engineer from the futuristic flying city known as Stratus.
To other people he seems to be a tall, dark, intimidating figure. A quiet, neurotic mastermind- whose terrible social skills hide pure genius.
However Severus really is just a walking ball of anxiety. He barely gets any sleep because he's constantly second-guessing his designs and working on blueprints late into the night. He's lonely, but is too afraid to reach out to others for help.
While he does take pride in his hovercraft designs, Severus is much more fascinated by the world of robotics. His dream is to one day make a fully-functioning android companion. For now though, he's settled for tinkering with small prototypes in his (limited) free time.

Personality/Self-Expression:
Nerdy, Anti-social, and pathetically neurotic. Has an aura of intimidating creepiness, but is actually skittish like a shivering chihuahua. Curls up into himself and fidgets with his fingers constantly. Stutters when speaking.
Doesn’t understand feelings. Touch averse, recoiling away from people, but too weak-willed to assert his boundaries when they’re broken. Reserves the nickname ‘Seven’ for his close friends/loved ones.
Loses all fear and becomes very confident/comfortable when working on or analyzing machines. Doesn’t realize just how impressive his intellect is and constantly downplays his own significance. Focuses on his work and forgets to take care of himself.
Lore:
Citizen of a futuristic flying city called Stratus. Raised to be an engineer and hovercraft designer/manufacturer.
He defied his society in order to help his dear friend Cosette free an experiment from captivity. The act got them both arrested and sent to be jailed, but they escaped and lived as fugitives on the surface world.
On the surface, Severus reunites with his thought-to-be-dead older brother Sterling, and discovers that a great darkness is corrupting the world. In spite of his fear, Severus leads a mission to stop this darkness.
Alongside Cameron (the experiment he helped escape) and a farm boy named Monty, he succeeds in stopping the darkness and saving the world!
Now Severus has been pardoned, and re-accepted back into Stratus society. He’s no longer forced to work on vehicles, now following his passions in artificial life and robotics.
