Kronos

A sage and fortune teller currently wandering the coastal city of Sunnyshore. Formerly from Sylph Monastery, a remote compound high atop Icecap Mountain. He's a blind monk who questioned his religion and fell from grace.
Kronos seems to be a senile old coot, who mumbles to himself as he stumbles through the city. A swindler who picks on hapless idiots that actually believe him when he says he can tell them their future. He's jovial, in a subdued sort of way. His craggy voice chuckles after he tells a dated joke that barely anyone understands. He's just a weird grandpa who lost his marbles ages ago.
However Kronos isn't just some weak old whackjob. He has deep knowledge of the universe, and his fortunes actually DO come true. While he acts silly and carefree, he's a broken man who deeply regrets leaving his monastery behind. He had discovered that his destiny was to spend his last few days suffering alone on a cold street... and in trying to avoid his destiny by denouncing his faith, he only made sure it would happen. Nonetheless, he perseveres.
He hopes that by telling other people their fortunes, he may repent for all he's done. Perhaps even save some them from sharing his same fate. All he wants is to pay things forward and let others be happy.

Personality/Self-Expression:
Jovial, in a subdued sort of way. Mutters to himself when bored/anxious. Acts like a senile whackjob- the quirky uncle type. Often pranks and messes with people. His silly and carefree weirdness covers up his deep regrets and wisdom from years of suffering.
Is grateful for even the smallest things, like a warm meal, since he’s had to live so long without. Shrugs off even the most terrible things because he so strongly believes in fate.
Lore:
Kronos spent a majority of his life in Sylph Monastery (a remote compound high atop Icecap Mountain), but in his 40s he started to get visions of a great calamity. He brought his visions up to the Abbots but, when they gave him their wisdom about what to do, he didn’t listen to them. He caused unnecessary strife and, as punishment, was banished from the monastery.
He migrated to the nearby city of Rhoman, taking refuge in a church and rising up to the rank of Minister. However his recklessness got the better of him again and, as final punishment, he was excommunicated altogether.
Kronos spent his final days stumbling through the city, homeless and senile. Telling fortunes to get by.
He soon succumbed to old age, starvation, and lack of shelter... dying on a street corner one cold night.
In spite of accepting his fate... he persisted. Kronos was turned into a Voided, an undead facsimile of who he once was.
Realizing that his visions of a dark future were coming true, he made sure to warn his pupil Zephyr of what must be done to save the world.
After a grand adventure involving several heroes, the darkness was stopped and the Voided were saved from their curse. Kronos was sadly not brought back, but he was happy to sacrifice himself if it meant everyone else would live.
