valerian “val” patrinson | they/them | agender enbian | shrimpshifter | 22, born august 20th

valerian is a generally upbeat, positive shrimpshifter who is often known for their charisma. they can be a people pleaser at times and they do their best putting others before themself, sometimes even to a detrimental degree. they have a very high reputation with a lot of people and they’re highly regarded by most in their community. val feels a little bit of pressure and is at least the tiniest bit stressed out at all times, but they’re fine. totally.

val has chronic pain in their spine and lower legs, and their legs are rather weak. they often use forearm crutches to walk, though sometimes they only need a cane and rarely they don’t need any mobility aid at all. it’s most common for them to have their crutches though and they will bring them with them even on the rare occasions they are walking fine on their own, just to be careful. val quite likes their mobility aids and enjoys the opportunity to decorate them how they want.

they and jasper are best friends and have been since childhood, which means that val is quite often dragged into his shenanigans. it also means that they were forced to hear his pining for evander for a truly ridiculous amount of time. val and ev have formed a nice enough, if not slightly awkward, friendship outside of jasper.
