Icarus really tried to touch the sun and feel it's warmth... It wasnt exacly ike the myth, there was no sun and he didn't died too... But he still fell...and Fell hard.
When he tried to prove his dad, a hunter, that he could be part of The Organization by killing a monster, a werewolf in this case, he didn't managed to, in the end, he got bitten and the monster escaped unharmed. That moment, he was done for, Icarus coulnt go back home! He'd be killed by his own dad... Thankfully...maybe... he found Mikhail who proposed a deal to make him turn back to human, the only thing Icarus had to do was work for him for a while at his bar.

Trivia
• He's intolerant to chocolate, but makes excuses and blames his lycanthropy
• When he gets really excited wolf tail and ears pop out
• Right now turning into a full werewolf is very painful, it'll take some time for him to get used to
