Charlie joins the Losers Club to help solve Georgie's disappearance. Pennywise haunts Charlie by turning into a giant centipede monster, attempting to eat him and leaving Charlie with a life-long fear of centipedes. The Losers Club defeat Pennywise and slowly things return to normal.
After defeating Pennywise, the Losers continue to be friends throughout most of high school, though as each friend moves away from Derry, they all slowly forget each other. Charlie, who leaves shortly after their senior year ends, is no exception. He attends university and eventually discovers that he is transgender in the 90's. By the mid-2000's he has completely transitioned and works in the field of archaeology and anthropology. He becomes an archaeology professor at a university in Savannah, GA.
When Mike calls Charlie to bring him back to Derry upon Pennywise's return, Charlie doesn't take it very well. However, he doesn't remember Pennywise until he arrives in Derry, much like the other Losers. While reluctant at first, Charlie agrees to keep his oath and help Mike and the other Losers defeat Pennywise for good, this time. After a run-in with the Deadlights, Charlie sees a vision of Eddie dying in the final battle with the spider-clown, and when the vision is revealed to be prophetic, he makes a split-second decision to take Eddie's place, instead. He dies alone while the Losers finish Pennywise off, and his body is left in the Neibolt House as it collapses.
For the bravery shown by himself and his friends, Maturin the turle brings Charlie's spirit into the Macroverse. He apologizes to Charlie, for dying at the hands of his brother should not have been his fate. He also reveals that Pennywise is not dead, but will not haunt the town of Derry any longer. Maturin brings Charlie back to life, and Charlie awaken from underneath where the Neibolt House once stood, several months after his death. Being brought back to life has its curses, though... sometimes, dead is better.
- Pennywise shifts into a giant centipede to scare him in 1989. He has a horrible fear of centipedes ever since.
- Charlie named himself after Charles "Charlie" B. Barkin from 'All Dogs Go To Heaven', which he saw in theaters in 1989. This is ironic considering both of them die and come back to life.
- He has held feelings for Richie and Eddie since he was a child, but having feelings for both of them confused him, and he never told either of them, eventually forgetting them both once he moved away from Derry. These feelings returned, however, upon his return to Derry in 2016.
- Charlie has non-photosensitive epilepsy.
- While I don't draw them this way often, his eyes are blue.
- Scars: A scar across the bridge of his nose from the rock fight with Bowers in 1989, a scar on his hand from his blood oath with the other losers, and two mastectomy scars across his chest.
- You can draw him in any outfit that seems fit.
