Mackerel may seem kind of boring or even mean, but there’s a lot more going on beneath the surface. Truthfully, he has never been very good at being expressive, often wearing the most deadpan/tired look you’ve ever seen. But, he’s actually very sensitive and gets emotional quite easily. It’s not uncommon for him to randomly start crying whenever he walks past a store he used to frequent as a young hatchling. 

Mac has a lot of passion for self improvement, whether it be to get better at his own abilities or to help others overcome their own challenges. Though his words of encouragement may be a little blunt at times, he tries to be as patient and supportive as he can be. Sometimes folks just need a little extra time and that’s okay. He will always be around if others need him.
