Early Life

For the most part, Hawthorne is extremely tight-lipped about their childhood, the only people who know much are those he trusts fully: Tal and Cyress, mostly. He grew up in the country, and at 17, left to get away from the only place they had ever really known.

Like any newcomer to the city, he had a difficult start, but a kind stranger took them in, offered them a job, and from there, Hawthorne found himself absolutely entranced by the city. He flourished, managed to find a little studio apartment for himself, and made a life for himself.

He and Tal met in their early 20s, and while at first they didn't particularly like each other's company, they grew on each other, and it ended with them getting married after a rather whirlwind engagement. Tal finished up school, getting a job working in the university archives while Hawthorne kept picking up odd jobs around the city.

Current

Hawthorne opened and runs a shop named Spellbound that specializes in witchy-type things: books, tea, crystals, spell bottles, clothing, anything you could possibly imagine, and even more. They own the building that the shop and upper apartments are in, and are on relatively good terms with the few people that rent from them. On wednesdays, Hawthorne can usually be seen at Sanctuary, Cy's pride and joy, though it's often as Magnolia.
