He is from a family of wizards who live in Italy (though their origins are unknown), who have studied the special abilities of certain humans for many many years. He too learned how to harness this natural power in a unique way, similar to how you might call "magic"... However, from a young age, he was far less interested in learning about magic than the rest of his family, as he had developed a great interest in mystery and investigation from reading books or watching detective shows. Even as an adult, he had a dream to become a detective and solve mysteries that no one else could. He sees his powers more as a tool to aid his investigations.

His adopted brother, Mittens, has always been his biggest support.
He taught himself english from books and some other methods. He moved to America from Italy with his brother somewhat recently to pursue his dreams further. They're still trying to make a name for themselves in the big city.

He is a respectable and kind man, who cares about the wellbeing of others. His usual demeanor is calm and focused, but he's really a bit of a coward, and does poorly in a casual social scenario. As a result, he can come off as a bit off-putting or rude despite his intentions. Overall, he's reliable when it counts the most.
