Draconic-Humanoid

Unsuprisingly, dragons and humans don't seem to mix. Therefore, draconic creatures are almost never born, rather, as they are created. Draconic-humanoids are a rarity, due to the conditions they must be created under. Draconic-humanoids are created in roughly the same way one would go about creating any draconic creature: infuse a dragon's egg with magick! Long ago, dark sorcerers would carry out this task in an effort to create draconian soliders but, since then, the exact method and precise conditions needed to create a draconian had been lost to the war. Until Vivian came into being, that is. However, as far as Vivan knows, she is the only one of her kind.

Apprentice Mage

The man who created her, Eliott, was a very powerful sorcerer. He does not speak of his past often, but the conditons he was subject to in his past life appear to have left him with significant trauma. Even then, Eliott has made it his life's work to raise Vivian to be strong and resilliant. Under Eliott's guidance, Vivian practices to become a mage. She is proficient in fire, light, and glamour magicks, but her general fear of fire means that she primarily focuses on lightwork and glamour magick to appear more human.

The sorcerer's... Daughter?

Vivian exists as a sole draconic-humanoid to her knowledge, and she has been raised outside the conditions that most draconics were created into. She is one of the rarest breeds of draconians, an Aurak. Auraks are draconians that hatch from the eggs of golden dragons. Auraks are the only breed of draconian creatures that are wingless. Auraks have natural magickal properties, and in the war they were created primarily to counter the human mages. The conditions draconians were created under in the past led to all draconians who could not escape their conditions being used as soldiers in the war, but a draconic-humanoid like Vivian was created to be free, if only on accident.

Personality

Despite Vivian's limited interactions with other people, she is a very bright and bubbly, if somewhat uncultured individual. Vivian's limited knowledge of and experience with the world gives her a very idealistic nature. Raised under the guidance of a mostly unsociable father, Vivian lacks a lot of social etiquettes. Her extraversion often comes off as overbearing, but Vivian isn't easily dissuaded. She tends to be loud, and her draconic blood allows for meltdowns of destructive proportions. Vivian isn't very aggressive in her nature, but she can be easily provoked, especially in one of her moods. Being sheltered for the majority of her life has made her a very naive individual, always ready and willing to help! The only problem is, her lack of experience often means that her attempts to help others tend to go awry.

History

Her father does not often speak about her early years or her conception but Vivian has managed to piece a rough and incomplete picture of her history. To her knowledge, she was born, or rather, -hatched -from one of the last eggs of the powerful golden dragons. Eliott has told her that she was not made in the location they live in now, but he refuses to tell her more about the golden dragons or where she was created. Apart from that, Vivian knows that they have relocated many times to obtain the safety they have now. Vivian's lack of wings and relatively few characteristics that would immediately reveal her draconic nature also provide some camouflage.

The Tower

Vivian has spent most of her life in the same secluded tower in the woods. When she was young, her father made them move around often, placing the tower in various areas in space. As a result, though Vivian has seen a lot, she is also very sheltered. When they finally settled the tower into a more permanent home, Eliott cast a protective spell to make the tower all but invisible to the eyes. Vivian isn't actually sure how many floors there are to the tower. She knows there's the entrance floor, a basement, the floor with her room, Eliott's room, and the top of the tower, but it always feels like time skips when she walks up to it. Eliott once told her that it was set on the foundation of a "Ley Line", whatever that was. Vivian does feel stronger when she's close to the tower, like the magick that created her flows through her stronger. Either way, the tower is her home, however confusing and odd it is!

Juniper [ best friend ]

Vivian's best friend! Well, one of her only friends. Still, although she can't shake the feeling that Juniper was annoyed by her in the beginning, they've grown to be quite the pair! One day, Juniper came knocking on the tower door looking for Vivian's father. It was kind of funny, really, because Juniper had already met Vivian before without knowing it. Anyways, when they finally met Eliott, he tasked the both of them with a dangerous yet rewarding task. Perilous shenanigans ensued, and Juniper and Vivian eventually came back to Eliott as good friends, and a little bit more.

Keeli [ friend? ]

Keeli is a cat that visits Vivian in the woods. At least, Vivian thinks she's a cat? Eliott would never let her keep a pet, so Vivian keeps Keeli a secret. Sometimes Vivian gives her scraps of food, and sometimes when Vivian hunts she leaves some food for Keeli in a secret spot.

Eliott [ father ]

Vivian's dad! Well, he's as much a dad as any... technically, Vivian was created, not born, but Eliott still did the "creating". Regardless, Eliott has been the best father she could ask for. He's always putting himself on the line to protect Vivian. Although sometimes Vivian can be a bit much to handle, he's always trying his best. It's more than a little difficult to raise a draconic daughter!
