Chinook is a werewolf who was bitten as a young child. He can turn into his wolf form at will, but is forced to become a wold during the full moon, though he does retains who he is. Chinook's wolf form is larger than an average wolf, almost the height of an adult human. Due to being a werewolf, as a viscet Chinook also has heightened senses. When bitten, he was left in the woods by his parents, who were frightened of him. He now serves as the forest's guardian, protecting it from hunters or people there to do harm. While he refrains from killing, he does enjoy scaring trespassers.

Chinook is a gentle, kind soul and has been since he was a child. He is not one for revenge or hatred, even when his parents abandoned him to die, he never held them any ill will. Chinook is protective of those under his care however, which is why he guards the forest from harm. He does have a sense of humor, often scaring away threats instead of injuring them.

His mate is a fellow werewolf named Myiax who he met when he was passing through another pack's territory in the arctic. They fell in love and she left with him to form a pack. They now guard the forest together, and perhaps one day their pack will grow.

Hunted - Story

Chinook prowled through the undergrowth, blending into the shadows He could hear them, they thought they were being stealthy, but their every movement rang through the woods like a bell. Two hunters, after him, the large wolf that was rumored to roam the forest. Little did they know that they were hunters about to become the hunted.

The hunters split up and Chinook huffed in disapproval, rookies mistake. Chinook turned and followed the older hunter, easily dogging his footsteps, the hunter unaware the entire time. Chinook watched as he began setting up a snare trap. As soon as he was done, Chinook rushed forward, knocking the hunter into his own snare, which wrapped around his legs, bringing the man roughly to the ground. Hati snorted in laughter as he grabbed the hunter’s gun, dragging it just out of reach and sitting down beside it. Lolling his tongue out, Chinook sat there wagging his tail, taunting the struggling, and now obviously scared, man. Now time to find the other.

Chinook leaped from the brush, slamming the younger hunter onto the ground. He let out a roar, one that could never have come from the throat of a normal wolf. The hunter was frozen, eyes blown wide in fear. Chinook brought his teeth towards the trapped human’s neck, giving them a tangible warning before leaping off and disappearing back into the woods.

That evening he stood in his viscet form at the only gas station in the area, buying some chips. He saw the two hunters pull up, both visibly shaken. They quickly filled up their truck and tore out of the parking lot. Chinook noticed the younger hunter looking at him through the mirror and he couldn’t help but give him a wide smile with just too many long, sharp teeth.
