"Why do you deserve that when you already have so much more than me?"
Personality
Pamo is a stubborn, overconfident red panda who's set on his goal of getting whatever he thinks he deserves. He has a love of making pottery, and is always striving to make new and unique designs. He's family orientated, and became a thieving pirate to help his family get the things they deserve to have. He's a master at the sleight of hand, and can get away with stealing things from right under someone's nose if he's determined to get it. He's not afraid of taking risks when it comes to the goals he's set.
While he may be a thief, he has sympathy for those who are like him and never had much. He'll steal for them, leaving whatever he stole somewhere for them to find. Pamo is aware of the consequences he'll face if he's caught, and knows how much trouble he'll get in if he ends up stealing from the wrong person, but despite that he won't let that stop him if it helps others like him. Pamo finds it exhilarating how he can smooth talk his way into getting things he wants.
Pamo isn't the kind of guy to wear his heart on his sleeve, but paying close attention to how his ears and tail are moving can be a good indicator of how he's feeling. Because of this, he closes himself off instead of talking to his friends when something is on his mind. The one thing that's on his mind the most is how others have more than him, and how envious he is of them. Shouldn't he deserve just as much as others? He's arrogant, fully believing that he can help his family by stealing from others. He can also be snarky when someone says something he thinks is dumb.
Appearance
Pamo is 5'6ft (1.67m) and has a little bit of a chubby build. He has a prosthetic for his right leg. He'll often seen in it or with a crutch to help him get around. Pamo often wears a thief or pirate outfit.

Backstory
Pamo didn't have much growing up in the small town of Chemora. It was only him, his sister Poppy, and his dad Clematis, at home. Pamo learned quickly as a young cub that his dad had trouble financially supporting two young cubs, so he and Poppy couldn't get all the neat little things they wanted. He never got to meet his mom, and when he asked Clematis about her, Pamo never really got an answer. All he learned was her name, Flor, and how she stole his dad's heart.
He couldn't run like the other kids he'd hang out with due to being born with a missing leg, but that didn't stop him from doing the things he enjoyed! Pamo got along fine with a crutch, or even hopping around. He learned how to make pottery at a young age after watching his dad. Pamo loved making little cups, vases, or other small things, then let his sister paint them. While he wasn't great at the painting part, he was good at making things out of clay. Pamo would often play with leftover clay that Clematis wasn't using that day to make whatever he thought of! Not all of it was put in the kiln. He just liked playing with it most of the time, but he did end up making his dad and sister a few things.
The latest trends going around school always confused Pamo to the point he ignored them. Why bother checking out what his classmates had when he wouldn't be able to get it? Pamo became good friends with one of his classmates, Quark. He liked hearing about Quark's parents and what they did for a living, and would often wonder what his mom was like or what she was up to. The day he had a sleepover at Quark's house was the day he realized how little he had compared to others, and was when he wanted more for himself and his family.
Pamo longed for the things he'd never be able to get, and would avoid conversations about the things he desperately wanted. He'd even tune out his best friends when he couldn't stand it, and even started getting jealous to the point he'd avoid them for a few days. The feeling never went away as he grew up, and Pamo started hating the days after holidays and birthday parties. Why'd they deserve such new and neat things?! Their families could afford it while he was the one living with a poor family, so he obviously deserved it more!
When Pamo was about ten, Clematis had saved enough money to get Pamo his first prosthetic. It was basic, but it allowed Pamo to walk around without his crutch. Clem researched proper care, and taught Pamo the things he learned. With his dad's help, Pamo took great care of his prosthetic. He'd often still rely on his crutch when he took it off, or had to wait for an upgrade due to how he was still growing, but Pamo was glad he had more mobility options now!
When he was old enough, Pamo started helping his dad make pottery to sell at the local trader's market. He'd browse the stalls, letting Clematis handle the sales while he looked at the things he wanted. Sometimes Pamo could make a successful trade, but other times he had to leave the stand in defeat. Pamo told himself that he'd become an amazing pottery master just like his dad! Maybe they'd all be able to live comfortable if he did?
While Pamo and his family were able to get by without struggling, it didn't leave much room to get many non essential things. Pamo started getting desperate. He wanted to enjoys the things his friends could, to be able to talk about the latest things with them without feeling left out. He quickly learned how to smooth talk merchants into giving him discounts, or even the occasional freebie. He grew distant from Quark without telling his friend how he felt, and even grew to dislike her somewhat for what she had.
During the trader's market one year, a thieves guild that went by the name of Ladron reached out to Pamo, offering him a place among them. Pamo was quick to accept when they mentioned they could help him get the things he'd always wanted. Pamo was trained by a few of the members, and his favorite trick was the sleight of hand. Whenever he was feeling brave, Pamo would use what he learned to steal things from right under someone's nose.
He continued making pottery, letting everyone believe that his crafts were selling well enough to get enough money for some of the things that he and his family wanted. He was careful so his dad wouldn't find out about the thievery. While Pamo loved making pottery and being able to live off of that, he found it exhilarating to get away with thefts. Pamo formed his own moral compass while stealing. If he saw someone in a similar situation as him when he was young, he'd snatch something up and leave it for them to find.
Pamo never did tell Quark about how he felt, how he was envious of all that she'd been able to get, or how he believed he deserved it more. He kept up a happy facade around her and his own family. Everything was fine! He'd be able to get himself and his family the things they wanted eventually. As his jealousy grew, so did his greed. While he did hide these feelings away, Pamo did truly like to hang out with Quark.
After over a year of Quark declining his invitations to hang out, Pamo had enough. Why wouldn't his best friend hang out with him? Sure, she was a scientist, but she could make time for her friend! He grew more distant from his friends and family, and started to spend more of his time with Ladron, which had become a second home to him.
While spending time at the thieves guild, Pamo heard them whispering about some legendary thief. Was he that good already? He'd eavesdrop here and there, picking up tidbits of what they were saying, and only confronted them when he heard a name he instantly recognized. Flor Sakurada. Why were they talking about his mom, and what did they know?!
Pamo learned from the others that Flor's a well known thief around Asira, and that she didn't like staying in one place for very long. When he asked where she is now, Pamo found out that she'd gone out to sea. He was told how Ladron partners up with some pirate crews, and that she's probably with one of them. Pamo thought long and hard about what he wanted to do, and decided he wanted to chase after his mom. If he became a legendary thief, then he and his family could live a life of luxury!
Over the next few weeks, Pamo used a chunk of his savings to get himself a waterproof prosthetic, and was home less and less as he looked into the pirate crews who were partnered up with the guild. After noticing Pamo's interest in joining a crew, one reached out to Pamo and offered to take him along. Over the weekend, Pamo thought it over one last time. He doubted his family would want him to leave, so he decided to pack his things late at night, and left without saying goodbye. He left his life behind him to steal treasure with the Buccaneer Bandits, and sailed the seas to enjoy the life of a pirate.
Present Day
In the present, Pamo is still sailing with the Buccaneer Bandits. He got his own kiln on the ship, and still likes to sell the things he makes when they set anchor. The captain, Xylo, has helped with any prosthetic malfunctions by finding an expert, and he's gotten around fine with it and the crutch while on the ship. He's still searching for his mom, and hasn't been in contact with his friends or family. He doesn't regret his decision, and know he'll be back one day.
