"You create things without even knowing it. It is an essential part of your existence."

Candesis, representing the concept of Creation, often catalyzes and values the birth of something big and/or new. It excites them very much, and they seem to have a fervent side to their resolve. Their manner lights up to the thought of progression, and the state of existence migrates to a new era, a new beginning. 

While Candesis is elated as an individual, it's not to say they are a perfect representation of a being that can create. They lament when their creations are undermined and become distant when people talk to them or ask for small favors, often focused on the bigger picture than making valuable relationships. Sometimes their desire to make things is so strong that they “accidentally” create things without knowing it. When blended with Tenebris, they are much more receptive and grounded, as they consider the value and creation of all things no matter how meaningless they seem. For one day, they will vanish and crumble in the end.

Tenebris holds the core of Destruction. Despite the sound of their Idea, they do not crave the mindless end of all things. They are stone quiet, always looking from the side or from the back. Watching. They are pensive, but they hold no ill will to people that come across them. A gentle giant, Tenebris holds a deep understanding for those who fear the end of anything, often peering into the sentimentality of small moments. From their beginning, they longed to discover what is valuable, and placed value on things that cannot be repaired. 

They hold people close, and mourn when the string that holds great weight to individuals sever. Due to the status of their abilities, they may accidentally dissolve things that come within their touch, which makes them very cautious of their actions. When in tandem with Candesis, Tenebris finally possesses an outward voice, as they calmly exclaim their thoughts and meaning towards larger scales. They show a disdain of erasing hard work that is unwarranted, but if it is necessary for progression, then they enact it.

As Omnia, they weave their blended state of personality as a singular being. Omnis primarily possesses Candesis' bold resoluteness and Tenebris' quiet sense of compassion. They are prone to being a silent listener, often processing the vast sense of abstract thoughts as they hear from other parties. They do have little words to share, often communicating in more emotional and passive ways. 

Abilities

Candesis and Tenebris can theoretically utilize each other’s abilities to some extent, however they typically use their abilities associated with their Ideas respectively.

Fabrication - The basis of Candesis’ abilities. They can catalyze the birth of many tangible and intangible physical beings and concepts. Their imagination is their limit, for Candesis can sculpt and manipulate energies of all sorts with nigh infinite potential. The application of their creative abilities vary on how much strength is needed to create them, from crafting small objects with practically no effort, to weaving developed universes that may exhaust them for a period of time. If you can think it, it can be made.

Candesis may utilize their creative abilities to solve and find solutions to problems in the world, such as methods to resolve world hunger. They can assemble concepts and physical components into new ideas, even if the latter seemed impossible to create.

Desolation - The basis of Tenebris’ abilities. They can remove and bring the end of many tangible and intangible beings and concepts. They clasp their magic to deteriorate things at varying speeds, from slow to almost immediate. With the right application of energy, The Edeia of Destruction is capable of decaying emotions into nothingness to erasing newly birthed worlds, with the latter taking a considerable amount of Tenebris’ energy. 

With high discipline, Tenebris can eliminate abstract and conceptual problems (for example the riddance of world hunger.) They can break down complexes into their original forms, even if the reversal seems impossible.

History

The foundation of the birth of Candesis and Tenebris laid upon a universe far from Ideation. Deep within the possibility and vastness of the cosmos, as the Edeia of Existence crafted a work of art in her free time. As the prism left the bud to bask in light without her input, a diverging story began to manifest.

Candesis and Tenebris were once the same individual, crafted as a celestial construct upon the collective formation from a star system mixed with the lingering essence of Caelitic's magical presence. As the formation brewed, the lack of input from the universe's creator began to split the universe in half, diverging a timeline as the celestial construct split into two identical beings upon different timelines.

Candesis' Story

Born from the interim of nothingness in space, the abstract celestial construct without a will ventured among the endless cosmos. It did not know its purpose, and soon it shall find it.

From wandering for so long, the dawn of higher intelligence sparked its first sense of ego - curiosity. It floated towards a planet with beings as miniscule as ants to a cat. It watched from the sky.

The beings, equivalent to human intelligence, saw it in the sky as they offered the being that would become Candesis a peace offering. An object smaller than the alien itself - a carved figure made of materials from the planet. A delicate item.

It was touching as it approached to accept the gift, shifting smaller and smaller to approach, only to accidentally combust the gift in their "hands." It was still somewhat unaware of its power, for it wondered what happened to the little figurine. It did not mean to destroy the gift, and it seems like a particular individual noticed. Met with an elder of the alien tribe, the grandmother came to meet the construct. The elder offered to show the being that would become Candesis what capabilities it possessed. 

Until the moment of the elder's death, the construct began to learn what it meant to be alive. Sensations it has never discovered in the vastness of space. Concepts taught by skeptical members of the alien tribe. It began to refine its form to look more and more like their people, learning the common language to communicate among them. It took up a lot of the elder's hobbies to explore their sense of self, such as cooking, and eventually, alchemy.

Adopting the elder's name upon her passing, the construct that would become Candesis decided it was time to venture off to learn more, wandering the endless cosmos to discover more civilizations that it could learn from. Sometimes in their future, they began to test their abilities to create the foundation of new planets for life to live upon. Even if it began to distance itself from what it made.

The concept of creation became a part of them as their purpose, but they felt something (or someone) was missing.. Perhaps they didn’t understand fully.

Tenebris' Story

The alien tribe defiled the construct that would become Tenebris away from their village. Unsure how to process this situation, it simply decided to quiet the tribe by destroying a part of their village in an act of self-defense. 

It began to learn as it saw itself as something that should not interfere with fragile beings, venturing to hopefully find more to its purpose. 

Upon its voyage, it seems that the consequences of their actions did not go unnoticed, as an interstellar ship enacted an intervention upon seeing the bounty that was hung for the construct's death. It surrendered willingly, for it did not particularly understand what it did wrong. The ship was a vessel upon the founding of a [corrupted] intergalactic space government, as it took the one that would become Tenebris as prisoner, primarily to see the extent of the construct's abilities. It accepted, for it was not sure what future lies ahead of it.

The construct was given a purpose under the sole dictation of commands and obedience. It lost its voice from being robbed of its ability to speak freely. They were tested extensively on their abilities, and dubbed as a special weapon for the government's goals. The shape of Tenebris grotesquely morphed into a shape undefined… something unreal. It saw and accepted its grim purpose… even if it did not directly desire it. It simply was destruction at its finest point, but it longed for something that was missing from its being.

Intertwine

Upon the absence of the dimension's creator, the Edeia of Existence came to check upon the two timelines, using a proxy to meet the beings that would become Candesis and Tenebris. The prism saw great potential within Candesis and Tenebris, and offered an opportunity of a lifetime to transport them to Ideation. The two constructs agreed, as Caelitic transported them there within the Ancient Ages, a time well before humanity.

As soon as the two met within Ideation, it was as if the missing gap within each other suddenly filled as they felt a pull. The two constructs derive from the same origin, yet were shaped so differently by their experiences. There was pure fascination from Candesis, offering a small figurine to Tenebris, only for the proxy of destruction to combust it upon their gaze. A crucial interaction, for it opened the empathy that resided within each other, leading towards a hug. Something triggered, as a bond began to tether without their knowledge.

For eons, they chose to wander separately as vagrants, forming a small bond in the beginning. The Edeia of Existence that brought them there allowed them both to reside in her Abstraction, a dimension away from Ideation to meet with each other if they wanted. The shaping of the world of Ideation by other Edeia led them to explore what they were truly capable of. While it started off as separate journeys, their distance became shorter and shorter without them being aware. 

The one that would become Candesis began to flood the world with their creations with little to no thought, until it met Concept. It began to often embark on pilgrimages of understanding to search for even more fragments of Concept. The understanding of what it learned led to Concept introducing the foundation of what creation was to Candesis directly, and it clicked stronger and stronger with each domain visit. It was until they began to think as they noticed they started to share their concepts to another individual in their dreams. It saw Tenebris in their mind, able to share to someone in the world. It wasn't sure how, but it felt comfort to be able to talk to their counterpart anytime they wished.

The one that would become Tenebris observed the absence of things that once existed, now evolving and becoming anew.  It began to slowly crumble things that were now of the past, as it came across Consciousness one day. Robbed of a voice, Consciousness communicated with feeling to Tenebris and offered a glimpse into all of consciousness itself. It accepted, and it saw. It became one with all of Consciousness, and it birthed the concept of feeling in Tenebris that it lacked before. It thanked Consciousness and they departed. It began to feel the understanding of individuals and what they lost, and perhaps it led to Tenebris being able to feel the emotions of Candesis, even when they were far away. It discovered something it was unaware of: for every moment Tenebris crumbled something to dust, Candesis would build something new in its place.

And then, the gap became shorter and shorter until they found themselves beside each other. They understood what the other meant without having to exchange a word, and so they began to explore their cosmic abilities together. 

Candesis would use their alchemy knowledge and cosmic abilities to sculpt the magical world, as Tenebris followed to reset and disassemble the area to start the cycle over again. Their soulbond began to strengthen, until they both felt contentment. The contrasting line between them thinned, until it faded as their forms began to vaguely resemble one another. 

Ideation approached them both as they neared the beginning of humanity, offering Ideas to them to recognize their full potential. In unison, they agreed. It was not long until they attuned with their Ideas, as they embraced a new beginning. 

A beginning they both remember as they look down at Earth. They spoke to each other in mind.

“Shall we create a new life for us?”

“... yes.”

They Actualized into the Soultwined Edeia of Creation and Destruction respectively, as they descended back to Earth.

Abstraction

Candesis and Tenebris’ Abstraction is by default, an empty white space for the sky and pitch black “sand” for the floor. Their Abstraction primarily fulfills the role of a sandbox for the two, where Candesis may craft and mold the ground to their will, and Tenebris being able to calmly reduce structures to ash without harming anyone.

Candesis and Tenebris are more inclined to be fused inside their Abstraction. When fused, the vacant sandbox reveals an ever expanding universe behind the white and black sheath. A project they have been delicately crafting to their expenses. The universe disappears when they diffuse.
