Paris was determined from a young age to reach his dream of being a sensational fashion designer, with ambitions of people all over wanting to wear his visions of fashion. So he taught himself how to sew and use cosmetic products (becoming somewhat of a beauty guru online), kept up with and studied from the fashion world, did part time jobs to take fashion design courses while saving to open an online shop.

With studies completed, enough money saved and interest from his online audience, Paris planned to start up his own apparel line after graduating.

That summer, with inventory ordered and the site finished, Paris modeled for and officially launched his online store/brand, "Pryde".  The launch went well with an influx of orders and sales. But soon became came less and less, until they eventually stopped, leaving Paris with an overstock in inventory with no income. He first brushed it off as just a bump, but even with paid social media advertisement out of Paris' own pocket, there were still no orders throughout autumn. Once winter came, he became desperate.

Paris contemplated in his room on what to do, when he said out loud that he'd trade his soul to succeed, like everyone else in the fashion industry. That's when a magic circle appeared and a fabulous demon man emerged from it. Normally Paris would have been terrified, but the demon was just so radiantly fierce that he couldn't help but be in awe. The demon introduced himself as the embodiment of the sin Pride, and felt the burning passion of Paris' pride from his offer, and was interested. He offered Paris the abilities to become an inspiring, trend setting fashion model and designer, in exchange for his soul. Paris immediately accepted, much to the fashion demon's surprise. Nonetheless the exchange had been made: he took Paris' soul and gave him extraordinary beauty, creativity, imagination and powers. Most notably the ability to magically control threads to create different types of clothing and material from practically nothing, and able to summon multiple appendages to make multi-tasking much easier. But before the demon could return to where he came with his newly obtained soul, Paris used his new powers to double cross the demon by forcibly taking his soul back and crushing the demon with giant hands, destroying the circle and absorbing his life force. 

Paris felt powerful and was ready to climb to the top, as the new embodiment of Pride.

In spring, Paris had launched a new clothing line online he had created and modeled, which sold out in less than 24 hours. Even all of his previously overstocked items sold for their original price. All sorts of fashion blogs and newsletters wrote articles about Pryde, everyone on social media were posting about it with their own Pryde clothing, and Paris' email was flooded with potential clients and representatives who wanted him for modeling and design work.

By summertime, Paris' was given an opportunity to have his own major fashion campaign for his next clothing line, with a fashion show held in a well known fashion house, full of well respected people in the industry within the audience. But he'd need more than just himself to model his outfits, and began seeking potential models for at least 15 spots. After all the casting calls, Paris met so many impressive models he ended up picking 19, and himself included filled 20 spots total. He was sure to pick out diverse models that didn't always meet the mandatory images of the modeling world, with his first being the fresh newbie modeling duo of Charlotte and Primrose. 

Paris had him, Charlotte, Primrose, and a few of the other models featured in the ad campaigns for his upcoming show and next line. Which attracted a ton of attention worldwide, and seats to the fashion show were soon sold out. The show itself was a success, with the debut of Pryde's upcoming new line for autumn, "Maple Breeze", already having pre-orders piling up. After the show, Paris made a job proposal to Charlotte and Primrose where they'd be guaranteed future work with Pryde, and he'd be their manager while helping them with finding future work outside of his brand. The two accepted, left their modeling agency, and soon became well known faces by the time the "Maple Breeze" line officially released.

In just a few months with his new gifts, Paris had reached his goal of growing and branching within the fashion/beauty industries. As him and Pryde became featured next to many other top brands and influencers. Paris earned began earning thousands though his business and was able to build more of a professional fashion team. One being a notorious beauty guru named Tart who Paris collaborated with in bringing her cosmetic line to life while she worked as an event planner/designer/caterer/stylist/model for Pryde, a male handbag designer who graduated from a prestigious fashion school and had industry experience, and a well-versed online model/influencer named Hunk known for being eye-candy with uplifting messages.

During a photoshoot with Hunk, an odd nun named Mary approached Paris to warn him "the Wrath bearing Envy is hunting the other Seven Sins". Paris reveals to a confused Hunk that he stole Pride from a demon who gave him abilities that helped Paris reach where he was today. The nun revealed herself to bear the sin of Lust after preventing it from resurrecting the original demonic bearer, and it would have consumed her into a succubus had it's polar virtue of Love not bestowed itself on her as protection. Mary said the warning came from a magical creature that approached her first, with a plan for them to split up and recruit sin bearers for counter measures. She implored Paris to join her rendezvous with the magical creature after he gathers Sloth and Gluttony. But Paris wanted to prioritize his passion over something he felt wouldn't effect him much. Mary argued she wouldn't be much help on her own due to being unable to wield her sin, as she felt bearing was a curse, compared to someone who took it for themselves. 

Hunk had been quiet while processing the unbelievable supernatural circumstances in front of him, and finally intervened saying it'll effect Paris when Wrath hunts him down. Paris should protect the Pride that let him build Pryde. Hunk also argues to Mary that it's unfair to call Lust a curse when it's often used to refer to a passion, and a burning Love and Passion often go hand-in-hand, grabbing the nun's hands. In that instance, Lust and Love bequeath themselves onto Hunk and release Mary of her monster form, acknowledging Hunk as a more suitable bearer. Seeing as he isn't consumed by either sin or virtue, Mary is relieved of her self-duty and believes it to be the right choice. Paris is moved by Hunk's speech and acknowledgement, and agrees to go if Hunk joins. The nun gives them the rendezvous point, and the duo make plans to depart after finishing their shoot.

Feeling the newfound power of Love and Lust Passion coursing through his whole being, Hunk feels more fierce than ever. Embodying it in the photoshoot.

At rendezvous, Hunk and Paris meet the creature Mary had met, a kasa-obake named Poko. Along with the new bearers Monster (Sloth, half of Gluttony) and Peito (half of Gluttony). Poko reveals they were all brought together by the efforts of the bearer of Greed. Who, despite their larger numbers, plans for them to seek their polar virtues (except Love that Hunk carries) in an effort to strengthen their forces, due to the newer bearers lacking proper training with their power.  Paris agrees only on the condition that everyone there joined his fashion brand, with pay and benefit of course. Because if they were going to form a team, they might as well be helpful by joining his pre-existing one. Monster agreed since it sounded like a stable path for him, Peito went along if it meant reaching his goals, and Greed had no interest but obliged so plans could move forward. Hunk happily welcomed the new Pryde members with excitement.
