ISMP Lily
About
Lily is an Isles Resident and the local ghost haunting the area. She died a long time before waking up on the Isles and resided during her death in a place she calls "the void". There are still moments when she gets dragged back to this place.
Lily is a cheery, gentle and all-round positiv person, who sometimes makes decisions on impulse without much thought behind it. She gets anxious when the void or her infection gets brought up, keeping most of it to herslef and trying to deal with the issues on her own. Recently her personality had a huge switch to a more sly, cunning and insane persona. Lily will keep everything that she feels people would use against her to herself and only reveals what is necessary. That includes distincing herself from everyone she loves and gainng the trust of who she thinks might thave anwsers to her problems.
Personality
Early on they appeared very friendly and open. Talkative with all the residents and helping out where she could. That included investigating the institute after and even before Gingers first death. It worried her what might happen to all their new found friends.
Over time the paranoia kicked in. The void claimed more and more of their time in the vast darkness of nothingness. She wanted out of there, no matter the cost. Hiding away that part of her personality deep deep down, she instead presented a very lively, childlike and naive personality. Disregarding all the horrors and instead trying to reassure everyone that it’s fine. Secrets not only keep people safe but also themselves.
With Everest's revelation of her past and future plans, she realised that there is more going on. The opinions of the other residents of Everest resurrection don’t help her process everything. She is aware that she did something similar as him in the past, so according to them she would be just as bad as him. At least that what she tells herself. The resentment grows over time not only for people surrounding her but herself as well. The childish persona is kept up to hide every single thought that is going on in her mind and the plans that are going on in the background. It’s there to keep herself sane
Only latly she started to become more irritating, ready to give up everything to solve her problems. Lily herself didn't even noticed her change and how similar she grew to be to Everest, but after noticing it she accepted that fact. If her nature is to be crule, so be it. But deep deep down she still cares for everyone, for all her friends and the resident.
Her decisions are not selfish if she tries to keep everyone safe, right....
Design
Notes
- Her form isn't stable. Some spots are falling apart. It looks like she's constantly evaporating and it gets stronger during strong emotions
- After the first move she got slit pupils, which at first only appeared when she was stressed but now became permanent
- Her infection started in her left hand and grew over time to 80% of her body. Veins are visible and the skin became more liquified, sometimes even falling off

Pets
She loves all her pets and likes to keep them healthy and safe. Keeps a lot of "dangerous animals to also protect herself.
Sunrise
Lily loves to see the sun rise in the morning. It reminds her that she's free from the void, where the sun or any light doesn't exist. There is a comfort for her, that every day the sun comes back once more.
Dislikes
Darkness
The void didn't have any light, so any form of darkness reminds Lily of her imprisonment. Sometimes it might happen that she forgets that she's in the living world and not back 'there'
Deep water
When not seeing the bottom of the sea she gets a weird feeling. Like an unresonable fear that she doesn't know the reason for...

Death
Lily is dead. That is a fact. Even if she has 3 lives, she used to randomly die and reappear. There were quiete a few corpeses on the first Isles...
No Pain
She doesn't feel any pain. There is no feeling to it. If someone stabs her it's uncomftable but not painful.
The Void
The void is a space of total darkness where Lily ended up after dying the first time. It's a state inbetween life and 'true' death. Time works diffenretly there, the overall rule is that 1 day in the waking world is around 1 year in the void, which resulted in Lily being stuck there for severeal centuries befor getting resurrected to join the Isles. Sometimes the void still calls for her and she gets unvolentery dragged back.

Bite
Lily really liked in the beginning. She didn’t know much about them, but everytime they met it was a fun time. She started to care about them and became worried when Bite started to become more and more anxious. There was a moment of minor distrust, when Bite was the first to trust the workers, but that quickly disappeared after more talking. At the end she considered Bite a “closer” friend or at least someone to trust. It took its time, but ended there eventually.
After the long years in the void, Lily became more suspicious. Not much, because she didn’t want Bite to be considered “bad”. It became worse when after the visit and revelation of Whispers, she talked to Bite and realized that Bite knew something about her past and specifically her death. Why wouldn’t they tell her? It was her death, she had a right to know about it, but Bite decided to keep it to themself for some reason. No confrontation happened at that moment because deep down, Lily still wanted to trust Bite and had hoped that Bite kept it for her own safety.
Then she reached her breaking point in the void. Lily already wasn’t really stable (couldn’t think or form real thought, I mean, stuff happens after YEARS of isolation and pure darkness). When the stars appeared she felt the presence of other people, which gave her some happiness. She realized that it was another isles member (didn’t know who) and in her mind that person (Bite) was visiting her. She wasn’t alone anymore! It broke her heart when the “visit” was only temporary. When she was told Bite was the one that died she realized two things: 1. people here actually die but can come back normally, not like her and 2. Bite went to the void and got out. A kind of deep resentment for Bite was starting to build up inside of Lily.
Recently Lily started to open up to Bite again. After talking openly and realising that they have the same goal, she put her hatred to the side. Bite is someone she used to know, and deep down she knows she should be able to trust her. The past connects them and that is an important aspect to Lily, who's worried that history will repeat itself.
Wispers
At first she was suspicious of Wisper. A new institute worker and he was a doctor, who wants to examine them? Well that doesn’t sound too good. Especially when all the other residents told her not to trust the institute under any circumstances. Over time he became someone she trusted. He helped her out when the infection started to spread and she noticed the corpses decaying. She really really hoped that he could help her out. When Wispers got hurt her first instinct was to help him, but a deep part of her made this decision out of pure selfishness. If Wisper died, who would help her? Who would get her out of the void? During this time, he was her only opinion and she wouldn’t lose that. She was desperate.
Right now she doesn’t know how to feel about him. Yes, he tried to help but failed. Her mind isn’t rational at the moment, she sees the failure as him giving up on her and abandoning her to the void. I mean, he gave her the ‘medicine’ and it helped for a few days until she got stuck there for a year (at least that’s what it felt like for her). That’s the longest she’s been in there since her death (between her death and when she appears on the Isles, she was floating around the void. Lily herself doesn’t know how much time passed). She still holds resentment against Wispers

Fallow
Lily used to be neutral in regards of Fallow, who she realised was under the control of the Institute but after getting killed she started to dislike her more and more. She sees the reason for her death as senseless and didn't appriciate being used as a "message" that didn't even work as intended.
Deep down she also blames Fallow for her infection worsening and the consequences it will cause.
