Poly was born and raised as the only child of two Polymore mushroom parents. Ever since she was young, Poly was a bit spoiled, and was encouraged in her interest of music. She would sing and dance a bunch for her parents, and often auditioned in school plays. As a young adult Poly got into local theater to pursue a career in acting, but instead she found a passion for singing. Using her popularity she had gained through theater and school, she decided to kick off a singing career with her father as her manager.

Soon after, Poly was signed to a record label and released her debut solo single "Honey Buns", which became a top hit within the fungi colony she lived in. So much that the princess of the colony, Princess Peckii, invited Poly to perform live at a fundraiser event she was holding. She met the princess and her friend/guard, Shiitake, and kindly thanked them for having her despite being a new artist. The performance was well received with critics asking for an interview with the rising fungi idol, and wrote mostly positive reviews of her and the performance. There were some negativity, which Poly took to heart to try and improved herself. After that Peckii and Shiitake, became one of Poly's biggest endorsers, further increasing her popularity. She didn't want to disappoint her new fans, and immediately began writing songs for her first album. Peckii paid for the recording in a high class studio.

The following month Poly released her very first studio album "Amber Tears", featuring a single by the same name and "Honey Buns", which debuted at number one throughout the mushroom colonies. Rising in fame, she gained the title "Shelf-ish Idol" which was a pun on the type of mushroom she was, as well as her music filling store shelves.

Poly was overjoyed in her success, and was sure to give back by purchasing new homes for her and her parents, and donating to charities and local extracurricular clubs. Thanks to her father, her new friends Peckii and Shiitake, and her overall popularity/skill, Poly had been able to book many great gigs to get her music out there.

A year after her rise to stardom with "Amber Tears", Poly wrote and released two new complimentary albums as tributes to Peckii and Shiitake, whom she'd grown closer to: The album themed off Peckii titled "Ruby Blood", and the album themed off Shiitake titled "Smoky Sweat". Poly wanted the themes and names to compliment her first album as well in order to symbolize the expression "putting your blood, sweat, and tears into something". Meaning that the three of them, as well as the rest of the fungi people as a community, contribute all their hard work in some way to help the colony and have given their own efforts into reaching their own goals.

The albums became hits and peaked charts, and Peckii and Shiitake were so touched by the tributes they planned and sponsored Poly to go on her very first tour to promote all three albums with the "Blood, Sweat, and Tears Tour".
