positive >

    >> Considerate > “Careful not to cause inconvenience or hurt to others.”

Faer often tries her best to not bring any harm or inconvenience to others by any means necessary. She always takes into consideration another’s feelings before taking action. Each word she speaks is always carefully crafted so she does her best not to hurt someone in any way.

    >> Reliable > “Consistently good in performance; able to be trusted.”

She is often someone who can be trusted with tasks ranging from easy to difficult, and constantly performs at her best. If you need something done, or someone to rely on, fae is the one you can seek. She will make sure to do her finest work continuously.

    >> Resilient > “Able to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions.”

Despite her insecurities, she is actually extremely resilient to most things. It’d take a lot of claws and sharp words to truly bring her down, and even then fae will often get back up when she’s down out of pure resilience. Of course, she knows her limits and while she will push them, she isn’t reckless about it either.

neutral >

    >> Independent > “Not depending on another for livelihood or subsistence.”

Due to her shyness and unwillingness to really try and bond with others, fae often feels like she can only rely on herself at times, and therefore often does much all alone. Often, it works well, for she is very reliable on her own and performs well. However, other times she may be hesitant to seek out help even when she needs it.

    >> Pacific > “Peaceful in character or intent.”

While often enough fae hides whatever she is feeling from the world, oftentimes she doesn’t have much to hide. Rarely is she ever angry, even if someone probably deserves it and has hurt her. She is completely and utterly passive when it comes to rage, which may make her seem uncaring to truly awful things.

    >> Perceptive > “Having or showing sensitive insight.”

She often notices things others are more likely to miss, and she uses this to easily decide her next action. Whether it be in a fight, or in a simple conversation, everything fae sees is stored deep inside her mind for whenever she needs it. She is sensitive to the actions happening around her and remembers it clearly even after quite a substantial amount of time.

negative >

    >> Insecure > “Not confident or assured.”

While quite resilient to other cat’s insults, she is still a victim of her own mind. Fae often questions her own abilities and skills, and is rarely confident in the answers she procures. She regularly feels like she isn’t doing enough to hone her skills or that she is doing the right thing.

    >> Reserved > “Slow to reveal emotion or opinions.”

Rarely does fae ever show his feelings openly, not liking to be vulnerable to just anyone. She may not be extremely emotional, but when she is feeling less secure fae is quite to throw up her walls and hide her emotions away from prying eyes. She doesn’t want to risk anything by letting her feelings show to the wrong cat.

    >> Shy > “Showing nervousness or timidity.”

She doesn’t really know how to go about making companions or friends, and feels awkward even trying. So in the end, she rarely starts conversation with anyone and gets easily flustered and nervous whenever someone starts to pay attention to her. She often has to take a considerable amount of time to think of what to do before doing anything if she feels nervous.

kithood [ 0 - 6 moons ] >

A single mother by the name Larkwhisker had suddenly died while giving birth to two kits, leaving the little bundles of fur stranded. However, not for long, as a tom by the name of Foxfire stepped up and took the kits in as his own. He gave them the names Rosekit and Cardinalkit, and watched over them with pure love in his eyes.

Not even days afterwards though, the worst happened. The empire, a group who apparently had it out for the clans, had attacked their camp. And during it all, Rosekit had been asleep. How she had not woken up from the sounds of yelling, crying, and bloodshed, fae had no idea. It was as if the darkness had dragged her down deep into slumber until the chaos was over. When she had awoken, so much was different from how she last remembered it. The herbalist den was destroyed, turned to rubble, and she heard that a cat ended up trapped inside of it. Pikestar had lost a life and chose to step down as leader, making Gullwatcher step up to take on the name of leader. As well, faer father had been badly injured with many others, and was in desperate need of treatment. Rosekit hoped desperately he would be alright, for she didn’t want to lose another parent. Even if she didn’t know her previous one.

Due to Foxfire having more grievous wounds, he was sent to the elder’s den to shelter in and heal with all the other heavily injured cats. While those with lighter injuries were sent to their own dens to recover with the help of others. Sadly, that meant Foxfire could not come to see them in the nursery, but it wasn’t all bad. A friend of their father’s, Weaselshrike, was staying in the nursery to look after them. As well, Rosekit often snuck out to go visit faer father in the elder’s den before eventually being shooed away whenever Singeflicker needed to do a checkup on him. For now, things were recovering, that’s all they could ask for.

Eventually, Foxfire was released from his bedrest in the elder’s den, and allowed to return to the nursery. Quickly the kits were smothered in cuddles by their father, who had obviously missed them during his recovery time. Fae didn’t truly mind, for she understood why despite having not been awake during the fight, he had been worried about them. She accepted the cuddles gratefully, purring along with her father. As well, more things were changing in the clans, thankfully they seemed to be good changes. A rogue tom by the name of Trout was allowed to join the clan though was to be watched over, and the tom accepted the terms and took on the name Troutspider. Rosekit couldn’t help but notice how happy Sootweaver was by this cat’s presence, even if she and her uncle were not particularly close. A deputy was also finally chosen, a tom by the name of Snapstream. Fae noticed her brother, Cardinalkit, didn’t seem to be happy about Gullstar’s decision. She didn’t understand why, but decided to not question it.

Since their previous herbalist den had long since been destroyed, over time cats were in the process of building a new one. She hadn’t really paid attention to it at all, more focused on faer father and clanmates until it was finished. For some reason, a flash of familiarity shook through her looking at the new completed den. She felt like she was hearing cats crying out, animalistic huffing, and faer father calling out a muffled version of her name. Yet when she looked around, nothing of the sorts was occurring. It confused her deeply, and later that nice she had an awful nightmare. A large creature dark as night yet had stripes white as snow along its back, black beady eyes shining with malicious intent, and long claws that looked like they could split boulders. The creature was breaking into camp through a tunnel suspiciously similar to the new herbalist den and only when she woke did she truly realize it was all a dream. After that, she started avoiding the new herbalist den entirely, she didn’t like how that place made her feel.

When she had exited the nursery quite a bit late, she noticed there were a lot of cats gathered around the river in the center of camp. Something else that was suspicious was that the ice that had once covered the entire surface of the water was now broken apart. Many bits of it floating into the distant open lake. When he asked about it, he heard that apparently a group of apprentices and a kit had been playing on the ice when it started to crack. A warrior by the name of Cicadahowl had attempted to help get them off the ice, but in the end both him and the young cats had been left stranded on a large ice chunk and had floated away into the open sea. Many cats seemed distraught, including Sootweaver. So fae had to guess one of his or Fennelspot’s kits had ended up on that now distant ice chunk. Fae hoped dearly that the cats on the ice would make it back home safe, and she did her best to be considerate of how everyone was feeling when it came to what fae spoke about. She didn’t want to accidentally offend anyone by saying something wrong.

Another apprentice was chosen to train in the ways of an herbalist. Even though Singeflicker already has Elmpaw to train, the herbalist also decided to take on Firepaw as an apprentice too. Fae wasn’t sure why, wouldn’t that be too stressful on the herbalist? Sure, extra paws in the herbal field would be helpful, but could he really teach two apprentices at once? Not that this affected her much, she doubted faer would ever go to that herbalist den unless forced to. She didn’t want to hear her father angry at her again, or see whatever that monster was. Better safe than sorry.

Thankfully, nothing else too eventful happened and while cats recovered from previous incidents they had she was ranking up. The day finally came for her to gain her apprentice name, and she was worried. She didn’t know if she was ready to become an apprentice, and start her training. Fae knew she needed to become a warrior for her clan, but she was never a fan of fighting. She didn’t want to learn how to kill a cat if need be, she doesn’t want to fight at all! She also knew that at this time, with the threat of the empire, it was necessary. So she did her best to smile as she gained a mentor and her new name.

apprenticeship [ 6 - 12 moons ] >

She was given Windywisp as a mentor, which honestly wasn’t an awful choice. The small she-cat was kind and quite calm looking. So far, from what she’s seen, Windywisp is a good warrior. During her and Cardinalpaw’s ceremony, Foxfire ended up bursting into tears. Which got her so worried she ran towards him immediately after her ceremony was done, seeing him being comforted by Weaselshrike, someone who honestly seemed very close to faer father. Weaselshrike has been around them and their dad constantly since they were born, and Foxfire seems to like him a lot too. So she has no complaints. When fae asked why he was crying, he immediately assured her it was out of joy of seeing his babies grow up. He also gave each of them a gift. For her, she got a couple little rosemary flowers. She immediately dressed her pelt in them. And honestly, they looked like little stars on her dark pelt. She thanked her father profusely for the gift.

It was sudden when the cats that had gone adrift returned to camp. They seemed injured, and changed, but all of them were alive and as well as they could be. That included her cousin Tadpoleflame, who seemed in the best condition compared to some others. But they were alive, and fae watched as families gathered together to celebrate the return of their lost family members. She was tempted to go check on them, especially her cousin Tadpoleflame. But she wasn’t close to any of them, having never talked to them because she was still a kitten when they first disappeared. Wouldn’t it be awkward for her to try saying high to them now? She decided that fae would wait until later. She’d let the immediate family of the cats see them and not get in the way.

The clans have been planning for a while apparently, as Gullstar informed them of an attack that was to be started against the empire. Who had chased Cloudclan out of their territory and was now guarding over it. She had heard of this happening before, so while the idea of battle wasn’t something she was happy with, it was necessary. There were Cloudclan refugees scattered in Marshclan and Hailclan, but they needed their home back. So, the attack was launched. She stayed behind, as she had a feeling she wasn’t going to like participating in this fight and it’d be best for her to stay to defend camp. Thankfully though, things went well for them. The battle was won and the empire was chased off the territory. Not only that, but a tom named Poplarpounce who they had believed left the clan to join the empire revealed himself to be a spy. Double crossing against the empire and he returned home with an empire cat who he seemed very fond of. This new cat seemed to want the fighting to be over, and Gullstar allowed Hackberry- the empire rogue- to take refuge in their camp.

It was very sudden when her mentor, Windywisp, went missing. The warriors scent was tracked down to the border, along with the scents of rogues muddled with it. With the loss of her mentor, Rosesnake was given Dewmist as her new mentor. And to say well, her mentor was familiar. Fae could just chalk it up to her just seeing him around camp, but this feeling felt a lot stronger. Like she knew this cat personally, as a close friend, despite having never even talked to him before. When they went on their first training session, she asked him if he ever had an encounter with a badger. For some reason, that felt like a good connection. He said he had, he defended the clan moons past and he lost a life he had been blessed with by Starclan. Through this, he had gained his warrior name early. When he questioned faer for the strange question, she didn’t respond and eventually the topic was put to the side in favor of her training. But why, when Dewmist told her the story, did she feel like it wasn’t news to her? Like she already knew that? But she asked him but she didn’t know right? All of this was so confusing, and she couldn’t concentrate on it because she had training to do. So instead of focusing on the cloudy memories and strange knowledge, she put her all into becoming a warrior her clan can be proud of.

Cats have started getting sick, with something new and worrying. Many cats drop like flies while herbalists struggle trying to help them. After the death of a certain tom named Myrtledove, Firepaw seemed more withdrawn from usual. She desperately wanted to support her friend with this, cause she seems so stressed. But she was left pacing outside the herbalist den instead as her mind and heart tugged in different directions. Her heart said to go to her friend, her brain however could only remind her of badger sniffing and growling and her fathers angry yowls. Eventually, she gave up and walked away from the herbalist den. Ashamed of herself for not being brave enough to go in, even to help her close friend. Hackberry joined the clan under the name Sproutpaw, and Hemlockbadger was suddenly demoted back to apprentice rank with little explanation. Her head was in too much turmoil to focus on those things.

A patrol of theirs returned seeming distressed. Fae learned what happened quickly though, as news spread of the harm a couple of their clan mates brought onto a rogue that was barely apprentice aged. Suffice to say, Rosepaw was horrified at this news. Thankfully, their leader was to as the main offender- named Sturgeonlily- was demoted and placed to train under Snapstream. Another tom, Reedspark, was scolded for his traps that he has been setting around their territory. As that trap was a reason why that kit was hurt, even if it was an accident. She was ashamed of her clanmates actions, but she hoped mostly that the rogue was okay. Maybe if she meets them she could give them something to help them feel better? Though she doubts this cat will return to Emberclan territory after everything that happened to them.

As Dewmist was expecting kits, Rosepaw was reassigned to a she-cat named Skipperbug. While fae was not happy to have lost the mentor who felt so close to her. She knew he likely did not feel that connection she did, and she was happy he was building up his family. So she didn’t complain and just followed Skipperbug’s lead. Elmpaw, their herbalist apprentice, was named Elmspark as they gained their full rank. As well, their cousin Tadpoleflame has gone missing. Which was worrisome, it wasn’t that long ago she came back was it? Fae hoped that their cousin would come home safe, even if they weren’t very close.

Fae was becoming a warrior, and honestly she didn’t feel ready. After all the internal spirals she has faced, she wasn’t too sure if she was where she was meant to be. She is supposed to be a brave and strong warrior, someone who can protect their clan with all their might. But instead, she felt like a misguided kit who keeps asking questions but never gets answered. But her father was proud of her, looking upon her with shining eyes. So she didn’t speak against this new role, stepping up instead to take on her new role and hoped to Starclan she could fulfill it.

warriorhood [ 12 - present moons ] >

She was named Rosesnake, and her father was quick to congratulate her and her brother for their roles. Cardinalpaw- now Cardinalscratch- seemed so excited as a warrior. While she really didn’t feel the same, she didn’t want to damper the mood. So, she celebrated with them, even if she felt she was unworthy of it.

Suddenly, their camp had a cave in. Rocks falling from their ceiling and walls to cause damage to any cats caught in its path. During this, Weaselshrike and Foxfire were both injured and sent to the herbalist den. Fae wanted to check on them both, but she still couldn’t physically bring herself to enter the den. So instead she focused her efforts on helping try to clear up rubble and bring anyone else who may be injured to the herbalist den. Well, more like pass them off as a warrior who can actually go to the herbalist den without any struggle. Which was every warrior but herself of course. She hated every bit of the fear she felt that she couldn’t explain.

Firepaw gained their full herbalist rank and was named Firewing, and Rosesnake congratulated faer friend full heartedly. Making sure Firewing was proud of their achievements. But it was suddenly when Hazelbloom was killed by a water monster, and Gullstar losing a life attempting to save her. After that, the tom stepped down as leader. So Snapstream became Snapstar in his place. Fae hoped he would lead them well.

A cat named Harvestbriar has gone missing, From what fae remembered, they were the mate of Snapstar. But what concerned them most is that the place they were last tracked to was also filled with badger scents. It sent uncomfortable chills down her spine, thinking that a badger may be in their territory. But, they had to breathe deeply and not become irrational with this. While she hates the idea of seeing a badger, if it comes down to it she needs to be brave enough to fight it. Just like she was trained. As well, Thrushbriar and Weaselshrike went missing too, which left her father in quite the bout of distress. She didn’t like seeing her dad like this. She feels like she’s seen him like this one too many times already, she doesn’t want him to be sad ever again. So she prayed to Starclan that all the missing cats would come home safely.

Two cats came into camp very unexpectedly. Rogues named Iris and Panthercrow. They learned after listening to their conversation that Iris was once a part of their clan, before she was born, and was named Irisshadow. But after the she-cat had become pregnant with kits of another clan, awful rumours were spread about her to the point she felt she couldn’t raise her kits in the clan and returned back to rogue life. They also learned that the reason for their visit was about the rogue kit that had been injured by a couple cats at their border a couple moons ago. That rogue kit was actually one of Iris’s, and therefore Reedspark’s nephew. Quickly, an argument broke out between the rogue’s, Snapstar, and some other cats who decided to butt in. About their code and past actions. Eventually, Iris and Panthercrow left, and things returned to an uneasy peace.

Her head spiraled when she heard Gullwatcher and Piketongue, both their old leaders, were killed by a badger. It confirmed all her thoughts that there was a badger lurking in their territory. It was also able to kill two experienced cats who had once been leaders, which did not help her train of thought. Because if it could do that, what hope did she have of fighting one if it found her? So, she decided it was safer to stay in camp. She refused to leave, avoiding patrols and other duties that would warrant her having to leave camp. Fae knew that it wouldn’t last, eventually someone would force her responsibilities back onto her. She was also ashamed to be hiding like a kit. But badger’s made her fur stand on end and her blood boil with a mix of fear and anger that sickened her. She never wanted to see one again, even though the last time was just in a dream… Right? She just wanted to know what was wrong with her. Why did she feel so different oftentimes?
