About

Basic Info:

One of the four Universalists living on the abandoned Creus station, Drake is the most lively of the bunch. His job is to document and learn about the different species of monsters, demons, and other supernatural beings that the Universalists encounter and how to interact safely. This comes from his ability to control monsters with his songs, even going up to more sentient demons and in relation can influence the mood of humans/humanoids with said songs. His partner is Sergio Stravinksy, however they only become romantic later in their story. 

Physical Appearance:

One of the taller Universalists, yet not quite the tallest, Drake stands at about 6'11". His figure is very lanky, yet shows prominent muscles when flexed. His skin is fairly dark, with a light shade of freckles over his cheeks/nose and has darker, curly brown hair with a big orange-yellow floof going down the center of his head. His face is more angular, with a prominent chin and sharp canines, and his eyes, instead of having white eye with a black iris, has a white iris with blackened eyes. However, he is not blind, but was a condition that had happened when permanently linking himself to his hell-hounds. His usual outfits are more punk-based, but mainly goes for his red hoodie, black leather jacket, and faded out grey jeans.

Personality:

Again, Drake can be considered the life of the party with his make-shift family, always cracking jokes and bring a fun yet relaxed atmosphere wherever he goes. He is just a friendly person to be around, and openly shows his emotions to others as well as being honest. However, this leads him to be blunt at sometimes, and can hurt people's feelings without meaning to at times. He is also very foul-mouthed compared to how the others talk, at least when trying to be formal, and is quick to be impulsive based on how he's feeling. It makes him a polar opposite to his partner Sergio, and has butt-heads with him and Syriana at points in how things should be run with the station. However, Drake knows when to be serious about certain topics, and apologizes profusely if hurting someones feelings and he is told about it. 

Drake is extremely into music, writing songs and performing other people's songs not just because of his powers. He finds it relaxing and it makes other people relax as well, so he continues to refine it and practice during the times he doesn't have a mission. Most practice sessions are also in order to make sure his voice does not harm or manipulate others, as in the past he was known for taking over people's minds and even breaking them by singing without focus. Which is why his mind manipulation works great on monsters, which are more resilient towards Drake's powers physically hurting them but still effective.

     Strengths

Quick Battles
Pulling a group together in order to be efficient
Short-Term strategy methods
Making quick decisions in the heat of the moment
Calming others down whether it be singing or general conversations

     Weaknesses

Can be reckless and go off plan when even the slightest thing doesn't go his way
Long term battles are rough
If he can't speak during a battle he becomes quite irritable because of his powers

Powers/Abilities:

He has the ability to tame (temporarily or permanently) demonic creatures with either his voice or his eyes, which cause him to gain said powers from that demon. However, permanently putting a demon in his control warps his appearance, and makes the powers he gains permanent, so doesn't do that unless extremely necessary. Also, Drake has the ability to control fire, yet is not to the full extreme of other Universalists and is considered his more weaker power.

To permanently seal a demon under his control, Drake would have to make straight eye contact with a creature, and for how long depends on how powerful the creature is. The only demons he possesses are thirty hell hounds, which has warped his appearance of canine teeth and white irises.

Most of the time, Drake will use his voice to control demons, by song usually. Control lasts for how effective the song is, and varies by creature. A side effect of his voice is that he can influence an emotion on a human's mind with his singing, yet outright trying to use his demon voice to control humans might break their minds. Usually uses his voice to calm people down.

Artist Notes

• Please keep to his body type, he is lanky and slim but is NOT to the point of being unhealthy. Also, do not make him curvy.
• If drawing any of his hell-hounds, note that they all have the same type of eyes as Drake and should be drawn accordingly. Other than the eyes, the shape and size of the dogs vary so you can go creative with that! (Also I know in his gallery there are hell-hounds with red eyes that was before I had put it here as a note)
• You can draw him in any alternative outfits based on punk rock, but I would also love him being a fashion disaster
