Tobias (Toby)

Tobias’ Bio:

Toby’s parents, a red merle australian shepherd father and a tabby cat mother, are quintessential peppy, cheerful couple. Being in love is one thing, but when they decide they want to start a family of their own, many are skeptical. But love finds a way and soon a rare feline/canine hybrid is born to two overjoyed parents. As he grows older he starts to realize that he… looks different from his peers. Not quite a cat with his large paws and floppy ear, and not really a dog due to his feline like nose and petite frame. He starts to feel like a ugly experiment someone sewed random parts on to, as well as confusion as to where he really ‘belongs’. His parents don’t even entertain the idea that he is the slightest bit unattractive, always shooting down his negative comments about himself. To Tobias, his parents are delusional dreamers, how could they just ignore the laws of nature and produce this thing? They simply don’t understand, and he thinks no one ever will.

Personality:

Toby always has a snarky remark for every situation, as he is fairly grumpy and annoyed most of the time. While he received many compliments and about his appearance, he often feels that they are backhanded or somehow an insult. He can normally push out a unappreciative ‘thanks’ but sometimes replies with a snide, mocking tone. He likes to complain, and the attention he gets from his cynical comments. He will not do anything he doesn’t want to. He comes across as an unmotivated, snobby brat. When he’s alone, his low self esteem and self worth makes him deflate and look pretty sad. But good luck catching him like that! Despite the fact many kids really think he's handsome and cool looking, his attitude leaves a bad taste in their mouths and soon Tobias finds himself being avoided by his peers.
