Niobe (Valda Nolli)

Niobe is a fresh Lancer, just out of training. Her background as a "farm girl" is something she prefers to avoid talking about, so she puts on that classic "cool kid" front — dressing in the latest styles, acting vague and mysterious, et cetera.

Valda never had any real interest in farming, but she was always a deft hand with the Hestia 3. They were based on a small, nameless asteroid in the Trappist system, orbiting near enough to the sun to support a few farms once terraforming was complete. Hers, specifically, raised livestock as part of a Union-funded experiment on their ability to tolerate high-stress conditions in lower gravity. Her parents saved up enough money by taking the grant to send her to pilot school.
