Depending on who you ask, Keiji can come across in one of two ways; the first is a pleasant, laid-back guy who tries to get along with everyone and has the odd habit of becoming a father figure to half the younger people he interacts with- although that’s not as surprising once you learn that he’s a single father of four. The other is a serious, to-the-point and focused man whose temper can get the best of him if the right nerve is struck. He can become rather stubborn and cynical in this mindset, but quickly bounces back to being more passive and optimistic when the mood passes. His more pleasant demeanour is most common and the serious shift mostly happens in response to something else.

Regardless of how he behaves, however, Keiji obviously has a big heart with good intentions, even if he’s basically useless when it comes to personal/emotional conversations. His social awkwardness is very genuine and the fact that it often leads others to underestimate Keiji’s strategic intellect, constant vigilance, and impressive far-sight is completely accidental. He’s not even aware that he’s doing it. Seriously.

Phoenix is immune to fire and temperatures up to roughly 1500˚C before he starts to risk burning, but can overheat at lower temperatures from overexerting his flames without properly cooling down. Overheating can cause dizziness and dampen his strength, speed, endurance, agility, reaction time, etc. Thanks to his wings, Phoenix can stave off overheating a small amount by fanning himself while his flames are off, but it cannot substitute properly resting to cool down. His body temperature is overall much warmer than average, but he’s also very sensitive to the cold.
