About

Finnigan was born underground in a small tribe and raised by an wise Alchemist, his beloved Caretaker and Master. From his Master, he learned all about alchemy, creating potions and even some magic spells from a young age. But one day his Master started to feel sick with every passing day. Trying to find a way to help his Master he searched in every book that he could find for a way to cure this illness. But none of the books he read gave him a clue. Until he one night sneaked into his Masters room, to have a look through their books. Books that they had teached Finnigan to never touch. They were forbidden to him.

But the young Lee was desperate.

One book in particular had caught his interested back in that night. A heavy in leather-bound book, when he took the book he had a strange feeling, as if this book wasn't from this world. His Master had told him how there were other Griffolk races living above on the surface that knew ways to travel to other worlds. He read through the book and found information about a Stone, that was supposed to turn metal into gold and heal every illness.

He knew that he needed this Stone to safe the life of his Master.

So the, back then, young Lee started to read through the whole book, learning the instructions to create this Stone. It took him a few months to get every ingredient he needed for this, as he always had to be careful for his sick Master not to notice what he was doing and he still had tasks and lessons to do. But once the time came that he had everything ready, despite his young age, he managed to create the Philosopher's Stone.

But what should have been a miracle, turned into a curse. A nightmare for the young Lee. While at first it looked like everything was fine, as soon as Finnigan used the Stone to heal his Master during their sleep, his whole body screamed of a burning pain. The fingertips on his left hand slowly started to turn into gold. His inner ears, his eyes even his blood turned golden. Using the power of the Stone had cursed him. His Master woke up from his screams and was shocked to see the Stone on the floor next to his apprentice, glowing red like blood, even in the darkness in the underground. His Master was livid, they couldn't believe how Finnigan could have been so careless to create this Stone and on top of all, using it just to get cursed by it's powers. In all his life Finnigan had never seen his Master this furious.

Soon after this his Master had told him that he was banished, he had to leave and never come back. So that is what he did, he packed the few things he posessed and left his Master and the tribe. From that moment on he lived in solitary, wandering around underground all on his own, trying to find a way to break this curse. He soon found out that everything he would touch with his left hand would turn into gold. Which is why he nowadays wears bandages and a glove that he magically enchanted, so the gold wouldn't spread.

Once he heard the news that Fornlees were allowed to go back onto the surface, Finnigan decided that it might be for the best to leave the underground behind. Going up to the surface was strange at first, the bright sun, all the new and different smells, noises... it was overwhelming. But what beauty the nature on the surface had to offer! All the new ingredients for potions he could find, the moment he first took a step onto the surface it was the first time in many years after he got banished from the tribe, he felt a small amount of happiness and peace.

In the years between back then and now, he would use the Stone only a few times if he wanted to save someone elses life. He never used it for his own anymore. And yet everytime he would use the Stone he could feel the curse getting worse. The gold on his hand would spread even further up his body. So he only used the Stone if he saw no other choice. Nowadays he travels around Griffia to try and help others with his alchemist abilities, but also still on the lookout for a cure for his curse.
