Chihaya is a very sweet girl who is more caring than anything in the world. She tends to keep her problems to herself, which only bothers her mother who wants her to be more open.

Chihaya spends time with her mother a lot and the two of them are like best friends, but she's still a bit too shy to tell her about certain things that happen in her life, like her crush on Tadase. She typically confides in her older sister, Suzuha, who always seems to have her back on everything. She adores her family above all else and wants to have one just like hers when she's a mother.

Chihaya will regularly help around the neighborhood with cleaning and taking care of younger kids, and she's usually assisted by her best friend and crush Tadase. She loves spending time with him more than anything else.
