Drawn to the thrill of exploration and the unknown, Snare had always been enamored with nature and the wonders it kept hidden away from the eyes of the world. Untethered by fear, his curiosity knew no bounds even if it pushed him into perilous situations. He faced every challenge with a grin and never faltered when push came to shove. Uncharted territories and treacherous terrains called to his wanderlust like the sea to an old sailor.

It was one of these fateful adventures that ended up being his last. A meteor had reportedly crashed on Palleth's surface leading to widespread anxiety and fear.. but not for him. This was an opportunity to witness something everyone else was too terrified to see. Against the caution of his friends, he set off to discover the extraterrestrial rock, or at least a piece of it to prove his journey a success.

As he got closer to where he thought the meteor was, the plant life started to become larger and impede his progress. In order to safely navigate the overgrown bramble filled gorge, Snare was forced to take a detour across an old fallen log. There wasn't even a chance for him to leap to the other side as the rotten wood gave out under the weight of him and his gear sending him hurtling down into the hungry thorns below.

Pain seared into every fiber of his being, but more specifically his eyes. He had landed face down with his heavy pack pressing him down into the cruel embrace of the twisted vines. Every and any movement was excruciating, but staying still was no better. From what he could feel, now that darkness blanketed his sight, the thorns were sticky with some kind of sap that made it feel like fire was being injected into every wound. Agony washed through him waves as he tried to crawl his way out, only ensnaring himself further as his blood fed the altered plant. Suffering until his last breath, it was the eventual blood loss that claimed the adventurous grem's life.

Hours later, Snare crawled out of the brambles, unbothered by their thorns scraping against his own spikes and sleek carapace. Purple liquid dripped from his maw and sizzled against the forest debris as he panted, excitedly sniffing at his surroundings to try and get a lay of the land around him. Thanks to lacking eyes, he was heavily reliant on his sense of smell and auditory cues for navigation. A new cypherus was on the loose.
