Life as a Higher Tiered Angel.

Aeron’s Angelic name was Michael Christensen. Just by how holy his name sounded, it was obvious he had once held a high status in Heaven. He himself does not know how long he has lived as an Angel, but he does know it has been well over several centuries but not long enough to witness the Great War. His time was far after that. Aeron was also 100% certain he was born an Angel and not a Human that was granted Angelcy after death.

His life as a Holy Being wasn’t the most entertaining. He abided by the rules of Heaven, and he never strayed. He did duties without question, without any complaints. Many of his fellow Angels were rather intimidated by him. While he is strong and undeniably Holy, there’s something unsettling in his eyes, that dully shone like an unpolished turquoise on a daily basis, but when he fights. . . When his hands were stained by the blood of Demons who tried to crawl into Heaven… His eyes shone with a manic glint, one that shook many to the core. It was this fear that caused one of Higher Tiers to betray Michael.

Falling Down

Foolishly convinced that Michael would soon be tainted by the bloodlust that was obviously stewing under his skin, the Higher Tiered Angel named Adriel, ambushed Michael when he was alone. Michael is strong, but Adriel was stronger. All Michael would do was utter a betrayed “Adriel-” when he fell to his knees after a long battle. His body was battered by countless Holy Swords, Adriel’s Ability, and his eyes shone blue like lightning.

“You are far too dangerous for this place, Michael… I can’t afford to keep someone who enjoys killing as much as you do here in Paradise. I am truly sorry, my friend.”

With a violent flutter of white feathers, Adriel flung Michael off the edge of Eden watching impassively as the exhausted Angel fell. All Michael could remember of the Fall was staring back at prideful ruby eyes and swaying blonde hair, surrounded by white feathers and then there was nothing but darkness.

Most Angels do not survive Falling. Their bodies, while sturdier than the average human, could not handle the jarring difference of Gaia and Eden. Combine that with the impact against the sweet Earth, most Angels just break and succumb to death. But Michael had survived. His body was beyond broken and his wings bent in unnatural angles. His voice was hoarse as he screamed his agony, his betrayal , his hatred. He did not want to die this way, slowly and pathetically on the Earth. His fingers clawed on the soft soil, darkened by his blood, as he pushed himself shakily onto his elbows, head bowing in pain. There was utterly no way he would survive this. He had taken too much of a beating from Adriel before he Fell, nothing but agonizing pain till he died awaits him now.

Meeting the Demon

“Look what we have here…”

Blue eyes snapped open in alarm. Despite being on the verge of death, his body reacted immediately to the alluring voice of a Demon. If it was not the voice that gave him away, it was the wave of demonic aura and malicious intent that the mysterious person exuded. Just his luck, to be found by a Demon who would no doubt strike him down when he was weak, after all, those Demons had no mercy for an Angel. Especially one who was an easy kill like Michael was right now. Gritting his teeth, he clenched his fist angrily, cursing everything and everyone in Heaven for his situation now. Especially. Especially Adriel.

”Just kill me like you want to, Demon. I have nothing to say to you,” Michael bit out, still holding to his frayed Angelic pride. He waited, painfully, and watched as a pair of black shoes appeared in his line of view. His head was still bowed towards the ground, not even bothering to look up if all he is going to receive is Death. The shoes stopped, and soon he could see the green clothed thighs of the Demon as he squatted down to Michael’s height. Then there were fingers trailing down his wings and Michael felt repulsion immediately. He could feel the Demonic energy clashing with the Purity of his wings and it disgusted him down to the bones. What was this Demon doing, was he playing with his prey before he killed it off?!

“ Now where is the fun in that… These wounds are obviously done by Holy powers… Was it Gabriel? Or was it Azriel? Perhaps Raguel?” The voice was tinted with amusement, the names said laced with disdain as fingers hooked themselves under Michael’s chin to push his gaze up towards the Demon’s face. Michael could only stare at the features of the Demon before him. Blonde streaked with black, with two blonde cat ears perched on his head. The Demon’s visible eye was Viridian green, the other hidden by tresses of tainted gold. There was nothing but death lurking in the emerald gaze with a fanged smirk gracing his lips. “Come on now, Angel, tell me who did it?” there was an edge of danger in his voice that clung to Michael’s soul. Diverting his gaze as much as he could, he uttered the name of the Angel that betrayed him.

Of all the reactions he was expecting to come out of the Demon, laughter was not it. Albeit, it was rather insane and almost disbelieving. “That pathetic excuse of an Angel? THAT Adriel?” the Demon’s tone was mocking as he slid his fingers up Michael’s cheek and patting it condescendingly. An amused sigh and then suddenly the look of amusement dropped as the Demon’s face turned dangerous again, his eyes moving from Michael’s face to the pair of wings twitching behind him. “Say… Do you want to live?”

Making the Deal

Michael knew that tone of voice. He knew it because he had heard it countless times when he witnessed Demons seducing the Humans that he was protecting. Words that dripped with sinful allure that a weak Human’s heart could not resist. Hardening his gaze, Michael gave the Demon a prideful glare as he hissed out ,” I would rather die than make a deal with you”. Of course the Demon took no offense, instead giving Michael a rather wry smirk as he patted his head like he would a dog. Then as quickly as the soft touch was given, a harder one replaced it as fingers gripped his hair, painfully pulling his head back to look up to the murderous smile on the Demon’s face.

” I would be glad to kill you off, Angel. But like I said, where’s the fun in that…? Do you not want revenge to the Angel who betrayed you? Who casted you out of Eden like he had the rights to?” His words were poison, that was slowly seeping into Michael’s core. The feeling of betrayal had come back full force, the memories of being ambushed and beaten down flooding Michael’s mind. Conflict ran across turquoise eyes and a sickeningly sweet smile slowly spread on the Demon’s lips as he leaned forward, still keeping Michael’s head pulled back. Foreheads touched as their gaze kept locked. A quick glance to the ground confirmed Michael’s suspicion. The blood, his blood, that stained the ground was slowly moving to form a circle, a symbol of intricate design. The Demon’s pact and by the look of the complicated weaves in the circle, the Demon before him was no regular lowlife. A tug on his hair pulled his gaze back to the Demon’s who was merely a breath away from his face.

”Michael,” a violent shudder racked through his body, the sinful mutter of his name shaking him to the core. “Wouldn’t you love to deliver Justice to the bastard that betrayed you…? I can do that, you know. I can pry his still beating heart out of his chest and trample his corpse into the very Earth he casted you down upon.” his words were violent but the tone he uses was sickly sweet. The Demon’s free hand moved to touch his right wing by the base, gripping it painfully. “Say my name, Michael. Seal the Pact. I will save your life and exact your revenge on Adriel, for the exchange of your wing and your loyalty to me. For your life to eternally be chained to Hell, to me, for his life.”

The conditions of the Deal had been laid out in the open, the blood circle around them slowly glowing a bright red, waiting patiently for that one word from Michael. For the Angel to mutter the Demon’s forbidden name. A name that has been ringing clearly in his mind the moment his eyes was caught by the Demon’s hellish gaze. A name that has been nagging at him to utter out loud. To seal the deal with the Demon and be eternally bound to Hell. Michael could feel his Purity fighting against the Sins. The depravity and revenge slowly curled around his heart, and the conflict was slowly making him insane, coupled with the almost fervent chanting of the Demon’s name in his mind, Michael broke.

The blood circle started to spiral violently, causing several strands of blood to swirl around the two as it senses Michael’s resolve breaking. Without breaking the gaze he held with the Demon, Michael opened his mouth and finally uttered out, “Aberforth.” All Michael could register was the manic grin that split Aberforth's face and an agonizing pain in his right shoulder as claws gripped into his feathery appendage and ripped it out. Numb by the pain, Michael could hardly comprehend what happened next. Before he eventually succumbed to the darkness of unconsciousness, he felt lips on his and the metallic taste of blood.

The Harbinger of Death

Michael awoke, unsurprisingly, in Hell. However he was definitely thrown off a loop at how cold Hell was. Was it not supposed to be in Eternal Flames? Where souls suffer in a pit of coals and fire? Looking around, Michael realized he was in a room of some sort. Floor to ceiling bookshelves made up the walls of the room and there were countless books littering the floor near a deep green armchair by a flickering fireplace. He did not expect to be in a rather comfortable room down in the Abyss. Sitting up, Michael winced as the muscle of his right shoulder twinged. Touching the stub that was once his right wing, Michael remembered everything. The Demon, Aberforth and the deal he made. He clenched his fist but the pity for himself did not last long. He has made the Deal, and he will go through with it. His thoughts were interrupted by the clicking of the doorknob, his eyes snapping to the door as it slowly opened to reveal the very same Demon he had made the deal with.

”You’re awake.” was all that was said, almost carelessly, but Michael was not focusing on that, but what was in Aberforth’s hands. His eyes reactively widened in horror at the mutilated pair of wings that the Demon was dragging on the ground that was still attached to the decapitated torso of Adriel. He watched in silence as Aberforth walked in without a care to the carcass he was dragging, “He barely entertained me, he fell so quickly it’s almost sad.” a sigh followed the words, said like Aberforth was commenting on the weather rather than a murder. His green eye slid over to Michael. “I saved your life. I killed Adriel and exacted your revenge. You’re mine now.” The carcass was dropped carelessly with a soft thump as Aberforth walked over to Michael, his gaze contemplating. Michael could only look up at the Demon as he stopped right in front of the Angel in the bed.

“Aberforth…” Michael was stopped mid sentence by a raised finger by Aberforth. “Ah. We don’t use that name here. You are to call me by Teiji.” his voice was dead, no lingering insanity or danger in his tone. Was this how Aber- Teiji was down in Hell…? When he was not consumed with bloodlust and deranged impulses? “Teiji… What exactly am I to do here in Hell? There’s not much a Fallen like me CAN do down here.” he questioned, definitely toeing the line of disrespect to someone who was essentially his master. But Teiji merely tilted his head, one of his ears twitching in thought. If Michael was any more insane, he would have found it adorable (he definitely found it adorable once his core was fully corrupted but that was much later).

“You did not lose any powers when you Fell… if anything, my blood made you stronger,” Teiji commented, leaning forward to examine Michael’s face up close. “Your eyes. They are jaded, like mine. Looks like your core is slowly getting tainted. Your other wing too…” Teiji trailed off, his gaze moving to look at Michael’s wings. The once pure white feathers now had soft grey dusting on their tips. Michael did not want to see, did not want to see the proof of his sins tainting his soul. Instead he fixed his eyes on the Demon in front of him, who had gone back to studying his face. “I saw your life history when you made the pact with me, you know. I saw how invigorated you get when you were killing those Demons.” Michael paled slightly. After all it was the reason Adriel had thought it was a good idea to cast him down. A cold, unfeeling smile settled on Teiji’s face as he reached forward and rested his fingers on Michael’s cheek, his cold fingers startling the Fallen.

“ Aeron.” A confused noise escaped Michael’s lips at the random word that came out of nowhere. “ That’s your new name. You will cast away the name Michael like Adriel had casted you away from Eden. From now on, You will be known as Aeron, the Fallen under Teiji’s orders. My word, is your law, understood?” Teeth gritted, but Micha- Aeron merely accepted it with a hard nod. Teiji’s voice slowly turned sweet and cooing as he stroked Aeron’s cheek , almost lovingly.

“Do not worry, Aeron. I will let you bask in the violence your soul had longed for those 500 years you were trapped in Heaven.

  • He has a total of 6 piercings ; 3 on his left ear, 2 on his right ear and his bottom lip.
  • Aeron genuinely loves Teiji despite knowing their relationship isn't the healthiest, there's no healthy relationship to be had with someone like Teiji. But be it the remainder of his angelic blood to be faithful, or blind infatuation, Aeron stays by Teiji's side despite knowing nothing is actually keeping him there.
  • Had tried to pull off his other wing in sheer disgust, but was stopped by Teiji. Aeron would never forget the look on the cat's face when he attempted.
  • Is on a strict order not to approach Freyr without Teiji around him after he lashed out in sheer rage towards the innocent Angel for bearing similarities to the Angel that betrayed him.
  • Teiji's blood gave him the power to manipulate bones, but he still retains his power to summon Holy Spears, albeit tainted.
  • Sleeps in Teiji's quarters, just because he's foolishly brave to intrude into the cat's personal space.
  • Loves calling Teiji by nicknames like "Little Kitten", "Sweetheart" and the most daring "My Kitty".
  • Has been under Teiji's command for roughly 200 years.
  • While he is sarcastic sometimes about following Teiji's orders, he never argues when the Demon King himself graces him with his orders. There was something about the massive black wings that stretched from the once Human that strikes something more than fear in Aeron. After all, no other demons had feathered wings.

Teiji

[ Soul Owner | Love interest ]

Aeron is completely aware that Teiji considers Aeron nothing more than the dirt under his shoe but Aeron's being solely belongs to the cat demon. If he asked, Aeron would willingly thrust his hands into his chest to pluck out his heart for Teiji. His love for the cat was twisted just like Teiji's mind, but not much could be expected from a Fallen going mad with corruption.

Aschidia

[ King ]

Aeron has a deep respect for Aschidia that was born out of fear. Eventhough he was made aware that Teiji was the cause of Aschidia's demonic status, the man must've been very powerful to not only survive having Teiji's corruption in him, but Mirai's too and still look physically unchanged with the exception of horns and wings.
