A motherly dragon of legend, sort of a pseudo goddess (in the same way that Aristotle is a god. 

Legend has it that Terra takes care of lost children and fosters orphaned eggs. She nurtures eggs and children by putting them in her large dome on her back. She's extremely large, the size of a small mountain, leaving lots of room for the children and animals that she takes care of according to legend. She doesn't get up and move very much, but once the young ones she's taking care of move on and can take care of themselves, she can shift down to a more manageable size. In this process, she creates what are known as earthquakes and landslides as she disconnects from the mountains and sheds the many layers of stone that kept them safe and out of sight.
