He has an anxiety and trust issue, because the person who hurt him was someone he trusted.

He lived a scared and skittish life until meeting Dabria , and she asked him to join her baseball team in the afterlife, as she was also lonely.

He was never part of a "team" before, so he accepted.

He was the first to join her, so they spent a lot of time on the opposite team. He's still very skittish so she wins pretty much every time.

He didn't even know how to play baseball.
