- probably like 164 (young adult by orc standards)
- giant albino orc (8'1") covered in silver like scars from years of abuse, lost his sense of smell and has heterochromia (one red eye one lilac/silvery) due to it as well. Hair is a bright fluffy orange he keeps in a short cropped top knot (he has designs carved into the shaved parts on side of his head??) but otherwise looks like a lions mane or birds nest. He wears sunglasses over his reading glasses and doesn't go out in the day time due to his pale peachy skin tone and the fact that he sunburns/blisters extremely easily.
- if he was better at magic he wouldn't have to be so worried about it and would be able to go out in the day but he never learned and due to living in the orc capital is not allowed to learn (orcs prohibited from using magic etc)
- wears loose fitting clothes (pheasant shirt/outfit YES PLEASE OMG!) because his skin gets irritated easily; has a lot of nice scented things like aloe vera and bamboo he uses as part of home made lotion blends.
- would LOVE TO SEE THE WORLD IN FULL DAY LIGHT!! HE IS SO JEALOUS!! as it is the sunlight hurts his skin and his eyes so he is basically nocturnal and stays in his house all day which he decorates with tons of paintings and sculptures of nature, a big romantic boy just loves natures and the little squirrels and trees and,,,, anything that is associated with fresh air and nature (will wallow in mud don't touch him)
- got in touch with ilhel because he did cool art and was open at night time, now he's hard core crushing on the elf and swoons over every little engraving
- in alrozsk's words, would ask ilhel to engrave his name in a sword just to turn into a blushing mess because ilhel wrote his name in his handwriting
- doesn't like weapons or violence (big fear/hate) but due to ilhel being a metal worker and swordsmith zoru got interested and now he has a growing collection of ornate swords that he polishes and cherishes because... pretty
- constantly tired due to a messed up sleep schedule but never grumpy
- big happy sunny boy but also nervous. He has a shitton of phobias and anxieties and although he loves to be around other people he gets... scared.... will gush when someone does 1 one good thing for him and will apologize for it. he is pure don't touch me, literally incapable of saying fuck (blushes and pretends he didn't hear it tbh) and could never hurt another person
- infact when he was still part of the travelling curio one of the elves who took care of him almost was killed infront of his eyes and what did zoru do? He run. regrets it, he has so many regrets and cries about them.

- BACKSTORY TIME YAHOOO: Zoru was born to a small orcish town in a tropical jungle. the town itself was fine until a neighboring orc tribe destroyed out of a resource dispute/territorial battle. Zoru, being albino and less then a year old, would have probably been cannibalized if not for the fact that a travelling curio show stopped by in search of something good. Although the human wizard/ring master would have been killed under normal circumstances for approaching orcs he offered a good sum of money for the little albino child (the man originally wanted any sort of orc, just one of the slaves, to show off but an albino orc was something RARE AND COOL AND USEFUL!) and they parted ways all fine
- zoru's childhood was raised in captivity and deprivation. Highly abused and neglected, it was the kindness of the elvish snake charmer and the carni slave dwarves that he even learned to write much less survive. When the elf was killed and he grew older, watching the other side show acts decease, he felt doomed to this life and tried to make the best of it. eventually, however, the old wizard left his curio project because it was no longer bringing in the big bucks. Zoru was dumped in the middle of no where with the other members of the carni and no idea what to do next. he, being the oldest member at the time (over 100 years old) kinda took up the roll of being the leader despite having no idea what to do and not being a leader type at all. He knew very little of anything but due to his intimidating stature he found it suprisingly easy to use the feral orc persona he had been taught to do for the curio show to bully his way into getting resources for him and his fellow curios. Rumors spread that a giant white orc and a band of freaks were hiding out in the swamp lands and, due to misconceptions about white orcs being super powerful and practically gods (something orcs themselves don't believe in after denouncing magic as a whole) a group of clerics found them intending to learn some gucci magical and spiritual truths/figure out what was going on. instead they met a magicless and nameless orc + his pals. The clerics brought them to a monestary and that is where zoru learned his passion for Knowledge. He stayed there for around 40 years until the clerics were old monks and in that time became Big Brain Man. He had spent four decades learning to read, write, think critically, etc. What a big nerd
- Following rumors and maps of an orc city he moved down south and settled into the captial. He was not turned away because he was an orc but he definitely isn't a social animal. he doesn't have very many friends etc but he has made a name for himself with his writing skills and poetry
- he's the little gremlin who slips a manuscript under the publisher's door at 4 am and who gets big money after his book sells out. the herit writer archetype.
- he picked out his name, zoru was the first orchish characters he learned to write (the monks didn't have access to orcish manuscripts when he first got there, just a few dusty parchments with only like 5 or so pieces of the extensive alphabet orcs use) his last name was suggested by his publisher and is just a very common last name that sounds cool.
- Penumbra showed up at his house like your publisher is garbage come to mine after reading zorus first book and now theyre gay. Go on dates a lot at night and write good books penumbra uses forbidden magic to create fairy lights at nigut for zoru to see different things in better lighting. They smonch
