Kori

Kori is the owner of Chateau Gateau, a small Cafe in the Parity district. Specializing in cakes, cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate, this naturally lead the place to become a minor hot spot for Bittersweet Cult activity over time. Unrelated to all the questionable cult activity in town, the Chateau has since early stages served as a front for various illicit activity including a gambling den and some small scale drug smuggling schemes. Her talent for misdirection and informed lying has kept the suspicions to a minimum, and most people just see her as a cute and precious girl who sells cake for a living!

One of her earliest frequent customers, Charlotte, has since long been of Kori's interest for the longest time - Before her awareness of the Cult and its manners, the dedication to tastiness was quite fascinating and the two would often have longer discussions when customers were few and there were no crimes to attend to. It didn't take long for Charlotte to become a helpful asset and a fun person to play games of chance with for Kori, and while she still wasn't in the know, a lot of "friends" with equal interest showed up and business was booming. 

Crime doesn't come without risks though, and while Kori is always armed with her trusty Karambit, she never expected to actually put it to use. Until one day, Charlotte was having a thorough winning streak at the poker tables. In a heated fit about accusations of collaborations and lament over lost savings, a participant turned violent and Kori decided to retaliate. Turns out, three stabs to the chest kills a man. While unsure about how to proceed, Charlotte called on the aid of the Bittersweet Guardian and the evidence simply... ceased to exist. This is when Charlotte introduced Kori to the Cult, and the latter was not at all hesitant to follow the draw to a sugary bastardscape of vague criminality and overindulgence. Seeing as the Guardian was through Charlotte very much aware of Kori's activities even beforehand, she was soon brought to status of an Elite and the Chateau Gateau slowly transformed into an official meeting place for the Cult.

She's spent a fair while being shaken about having... Killed a man. Understandably. After becoming fellow Elites, her and Charlotte soon progressed to be loose girlfriends - Seeing as Charlotte over time became one of the more sinister forces of the Sweets Cult's usually rowdy but overseeable havoc, Kori found some kind of fascination in watching her sadistic girlfriend act under the occasionally more cruel and direct intentions of the Guardian. It puts her at ease seeing violence and harm be used strategically, to combat threats, to ensure safety of the cult. Also, she thinks it's kind of hot when Charlotte does it... But she's somewhat embarrassed about that doesn't tell anyone that.
