📚 Zaia

Zaia often comes off as awkward, nervous, and clumsy at times. They love hanging out with friends and being around people, but find it extremely nerve-wracking and usually end up just staying at home instead. It's not uncommon that they'll accidentally mess up and do something embarrassing due to their anxiousness, but that's not actually what gets them nervous, and it doesn't even bother them that much in reality. Their anxiety stems from a near constant fear in the back of their head about people somehow knowing they're a vampire.

They're generally very sweet, caring about the well being and feelings of those around them, even if they don't happen to know the person very well. They value all kinds of life, including humans, animals, and plants, and would never purposely hurt anything.

• Pretty much always carries around unlabeled red lollipops (they're homemade animal blood lollipops)
• They have a lot of pent up nervousness when around most others, especially strangers. They almost always choose to stand rather than to sit, and can pace around a lot if they're especially nervous. If they're sitting down they're pretty restless and fidgety
• They don't like to be bored, and will subconsciously start organizing, fidgeting, cleaning, or even just counting things when they aren't doing anything else

Born into a family of vampires, Zaia was a vampire from birth. Their family always lived on the down low, not harming humans and generally their secret is unknown to everyone around them. Their parents were close friends with a butcher in their town, and actually got their blood supply from their shop for pretty cheap, and no one else knew about it.

Despite their peaceful life, Zaia knew that the majority of humans did not take well to knowing who was a vampire. They were taught to not let people know and to keep it a secret, or else they could be in danger. While this is very true and a good thing for them to follow, the thought often makes them extremely anxious and sometimes hard for them to go about their life normally.

In their late teens, Zaia wanted to branch out and try to live life more independently on their own. So they left their childhood home and now live in their own place will attending a nearby college. They still keep in contact with their parents and family, often talking through phone calls and text, and visiting every now and again. Their parents also help financially support them as needed, since they're pretty well off.

They currently have a small collection of animals that they take care of and get occasional blood draws from to sustain themself. Their house is settled in the woods on the outskirts of a large town, so they have plenty of room to keep their animals safe and happy.

They earn money through helping tutoring college students (and other people who are interested) about cryptids. They also belong to a cryptid hunting group with Jack and Skye, and sometimes those hunts result in payments of various kinds. Their group also occasionally teams up with others for certain hunts, such as Wish and Cereal.
