• Avis is affiliated with the Hunters' Guild of Central Medea, which he joined after leaving his hometown in the Hanging Willows.
• His "unorthodox" fashion sense is actually fairly commonplace among Guild members. Rumor has it that the style itself is based on that of the Protean navy; however, the seas around Medea make travel extremely difficult, so the rumor has yet to be verified.
• By elven standards, he's considered a young adult—although a touch of human ancestry means his maximum lifespan caps a few centuries shorter than that of [what his close-minded cousins would call] a "pure" elf's.
• Prefers hunting beasts over real people, but will occasionally take on contract killings if the target's widely hated enough and nobody else wants to do it.
• He is somewhat disturbed by the aesthetic appearance of pineapples, to the point where he feels the need to comment on it every time he encounters one. (Author's note: Medean pineapple lore is surprisingly deep.)
