maureen 🎧

maureen is much more introverted than her bestie, libby. she is the only one in the friend group with a car, though, so she gets dragged into plans she might prefer to stay out of.  in group settings, maureen doesn't really speak up unless someone invites her to do so. maureen's really into music, but lacks the confidence to create her own stuff, though she's always wanted to... instead, maureen channels her passion by curating the background music playlists for the store she and libby work at. that's about all the work she's willing to do, though; she doesn't really need the money, so what's the point?

maureen has pitch-black hair she dyes often, in a variety of color combinations. she also has a lot of different colors and styles of glasses she switches out frequently! she can usually be found hiding under headphones and a big sweatshirt, and she wears approximately a million earrings on her self-pierced ears. her outfits are mostly black with accents of color (libby's influence, hehe). for footwear, combat boots are her go-to!

she's the younger sister of scarlet. the two of them are very alike personality-wise, and have a close relationship. their parents are incredibly wealthy, and leave the kids behind in their estate (with the family credit cards of course) for long stretches of time while they go off on business. their family is acquainted with starla's, and maureen and starla were friends when they were little...no one would guess, though, since they're totally opposite personalities and haven't spoken in years! what happened?

maureen's biggest fear is becoming out-of-touch with the world and what truly matters, based off how she sees the behavior of her parents. of course she doesn't need to go along with her friends' every scheme, but as much as maureen seems to be quiet and uncomfortable out in public, she's really content to just sit back and take in the world around her by listening and observing.
