Past:  

Atlas  was born in Seajewel in a respectable family, The Kenleys. His father  was a good sailor, and his mother a good merchant. They had a tiny shop  selling humble goods, and when they weren’t busy working, his mother  tought him the ways of the trade, or his father the ways of the sea. It  was a nice home, and humble as they were, They managed to give Atlas a  gold etched bead with a precise constellation map at his fifth birthday.   Which he adores to this day.
However good his family was, he wasn’t very allowed to go anywhere. His parents were overly protective and he had  long  days in his house, wondering what to do most of the time.
 He  was always praised to whatever he was doing, and since he was quite  alone, he thought he was one of the best. 

His father brought him to his ship on Atlas 7^th Birthday, which the young curio was most excited about and prepared  months before the day came. However during some smooth sailing, a group  of pirate came and asked for the goods on the small ship, knowing it to  be easy prey. The father begged for them to let them go unharmed, his  son and him. The pirate stole the goods, and saw Atlas hiding in a  crate, which they proceeded to take as well, much to his father dismay.  The kidnapping broke His mother’s heart to pieces, and both parents  searched for their son for a very long time.

The  captain of that ship was more than pleased at the sight of Atlas. A  young feisty curio with knowledge. He took him under his wing and forged  the boy to be a relentless pirate. The Pirate was not as kind as  thought however, and many time did the young boy get scolded and  punished. He was almost always left inside a very small cabin for long  periods of times without food or water despite his pleas, and was always  watched by the crew as to not do anything stupid. He felt like a slave  and forced to do everything they asked him to, which impacted his ways  of thinking.

At the age of 19, he was able to escape  his abusers, and went back to seajewel, Knowing only the house of his  parents. When he came to the desired address, the shop was closed, the  house empty, and nothing of his past life hinted that he lived there at  some point. That destroyed him, and he wishes to one day find his  parents again, to apologize and say how much he loves them.

He  went back to Jun Nazu, Now his only place he could call home, And  settled down for a bit. He knew of seas and trade much better now, and  since it was what he knew and what he liked,  He decided to continue doing so, despite his abusers,   A  part of him always wanted to find his parents, and another part was  deadly afraid to see the same pirates again, which prompted the anxiety  of him staying in one place for too long. He cannot stay on the same  ship for too long, and after some months passed on one, He’ll bounce to  another, afraid to be what he once was as a child. He doesn’t trust  easily.

Present: 

Now he’s an active pirate,  and  seller , both land and seas. The world is his canvas and he explores  and discover new, amazing people and things. He won’t ever say that he’s  also looking for his parents out of ego, but he is. He doesn’t fear the  pirates that kidnapped him as a child anymore, but he feels uneasy  thinking about them. He sees them as abusers, but at the same time,  fathers. As such he doesn’t know how he would react if he ever sees them  again. He however cannot stop the anxiety of staying at the same place.  Kind of like how you know you’re not afraid of something, but  unconsciously still alert and uneasy around it. His over confidence is  from years worth of successful missions, and how his parents forged him.  He got a big sense of self and will think he’s better than anyone.  Maybe it’s a defense mechanism because of his past?
Even  having a rough past, Atlas won't let it affect him too much, He'll be  cheerful and ready for a lot of new things, and is quite happy to the  fact of what he's become. Rascal, scroundrel, mean pirate that he is! He  didn't have the best role models after all!

He enjoys writing romance novels, and loves to direct the plays they're based on. Is he filling a void? writing romance?
 

Equipment:

 Aside from the many, many pouches containing random goods and coins, He  uses his backpack for more easy travels when on land. However quite  heavy depending on what’s inside, He’ll be slow on foot. his fascination  for pockets is kind of an obsession or fear of never running out of  something. Living with the pirates meant he went by very little, and he  wishes not to go back to that time. If not able to get his backpack,  Hell take some additional pouches on his thigh or waist. He wears a lot  of jewels, especially gold ones, which he loves. He is quite  extravagant. He'll take of his cloak and backpack when not  selling/sailing,  just to feel the breeze on his fur. thats the true  taste of liberty!
