Backstory

Cypress was developed by the Grem Corporation to fulfill the demands of an exotic veterinary hospital. Locally-owned, this award-winning facility has it all: From a veterinary clinic and rehabilitation center at the helm, to an adoption agency on the second floor, complete with a wildlife sanctuary flourishing with lush gardens and natural habitats on the property's vast acres of rural land. The staff specifically requested their Grem2 to resemble a tiger because they wished for her to work up-close-and-personal with some of their more 'challenging' cases: Wild cats. This ingenious implementation to the practice has been a remarkable breakthrough in allowing staff to provide patients with the utmost care imaginable. For Cypress, daily tasks may include (but aren't limited to): Feeding, cleaning, administering medications, patrolling the property, assisting certain patients with specialized therapy, fostering orphaned babies, and much more. Overall, she is responsible for the enrichment of the facility's guests.

Notes/Trivia

📌 Another reason the veterinarians chose a tiger as their Grem2 is because "tigers represent willpower, courage, and strength" — which aren't only the necessary attributes for recovery, but ultimately the moral of the practice.

📌 Being as Cypress is a Grem2, she is unable to reproduce. She compensates for her inability by fostering the animals that are transferred to the adoption agency or wildlife sanctuary after evaluation. Her feral physique allows her to nurture these babies as naturally as possible, unconditionally gaining their trust in the process.

📌 Cypress' name is derived from a common term for various coniferous trees or shrubs. Her owners gave her this name because the stripes on her lower-back resemble patterns similar to the feathery needles of a cypress tree.

📌
The alias "Tiger's Blood" derives from Cypress' dominant blood color distinctive in her sclera, mouth, ears and nails.

📌 In her down-time, Cypress likes to unwind with a nap. Every so often, she can be found making a nest out of the fresh linens somewhere in the breakroom with the lights off. For new employees, this can be a bit unsettling at first, especially if they haven't had a chance to meet Cypress yet and usually think one of their patients escaped from their kennel.

📌 A lot of new employees confessed that during the first couple days on the job, they were afraid to approach Cypress. This is often due to her 'intimidating' appearance and how well she resembles an ordinary tiger. However, Cypress is willing to prove that looks can be deceiving — as long as she isn't awoken from her nap...
