Most people would hardly notice Avery in a general setting.  She's rather plain in appearance, wearing casual clothes in most settings and never doing anything that'll make her stand out.  Indeed, she's a rather shy student who tends to be wholly focused on her studies.  She's currently a second-year student at Colombia University, training in their School of Journalism with dreams of being a worldwide reporter some day.

However, what many don't know about Avery is that she leads something of a double life.  Her parents are demons, enforcers in Hell who work alongside Chernabog himself.  They always expected her to follow in their footsteps, however she chose instead to follow her own dreams.  Her parents don't get it, but are for the most part supportive.  They travel to the Mortal Realm every so often to see her.

Aside from being shy and studious, Avery is an extremely curious individual who loves to stick her nose where it doesn't belong.  It's not unheard of for her to linger near points of gossip, absorbing the social news while seeming none the wiser, innocent to it all.  She uses this to write rumours for the school newspaper, using the alias Eve Stropper for her column.  She loves her work, and the fact that only one other student knows she is Eve.  It gives her a sense of pride, in a sense.
