Masako was the daughter of famous chefs in a small village. Her family was well well for the delious food they created. Her father would feed Demon Slayers for free when or if the passed though their village.The village was peaceful and quiet for many many years, many people believed demons didn't even know of their villiage.
Years had passed until people were disappearing late at night. Men, Women and children taken off the street with no clues where they went. It started slow but more and more people would disappear at night. Masako was still very young and didn't fully understand what was happening in her village until her childhood friend was taken.
Masako wanted so badly to find her friend and attemped to sneak out and look for him in the dead of night since she believe she could find him. Masako gets attacked by a dmeon in the dead of night but is saved by a Demon slayer who had been looking around the Village for some time now. She was awe strucked by the Demon slayer as she watched them kill the Demon. They escorted Masako home and warned her to stay home at night, It's dangerous.
Why the Demon slayer was talking to Masako, They heard something from Masako's home and found that inside the small home was demon who seemingly killed and devoured Masako's parents. The Demon slayer was able to kill the demon but not able to save Masako's parents. The Demon slayer felt bad for the young girl but there wasn't much for them to do. They did take Masako to the closest family friend she had before leaving her.
This sadly wasn't the end of the Demon murders in the small village. More missing people and murders and even blood in the street of the villages. Th nights get darker and the amound of demons in the village kept going up as the number of people go down. Masako is watching out her window when she sees another kid around her age outside walking though the street.
She recalls what the demon slayer said to her but she couldn't just let someone else get hurt. Masako quickly snuck out of her house once again and reached out to the other kid. She told the kid it was dangerous and they could get killed. As the two are talking a low demon creeps up to two children. Masako stands infront of the other kid even though she is scared and shaking but she wants to protect the kid. Masako screams as the demon leaps towards the two. Before the demon could attack it's head rolls on the ground and the Demon slayer stood there, blade in hand. Masako in tears hugged the Demon slayer.
"You were really brave, Kid."
The Demon slayer cleaned up the small village after that but many people were lost and killed. Masako was still young but she begged the Demon slayer to train her to protect people too. They didn't reject her. They took her to Urokodakito train her.
