Daichi is a very agressive character due to his past. He's hard to trust others and jumps to conclusions. Daichi is a heavy alcoholic, fighting with his addiction. Kenji, is his boyfriend's name. Daichi never spoke about his past, but here's a short summary. Daichi was born into a small poor family, that has been killed when he was just a child. He lived about an year in the orphanage, being adopted by a older man, who have died years later on a sickness. Daichi got taken away (age 14) by the SCP containment, where he started to work and got as high as a guard (age 18). He's been awfully abused/bullied by others, to whcih he has developed anger issues. He met the captured Kenji there, who said that he'll get out one day and if Daichi would like to come with him (or something along those lines).
