Everyone who meets Mana confesses that she is one of the nicest and sweetest people they have ever met. A kind soul without hardly a mean bone in her body Mana tries to be nice to everyone she meets and not judge them for who they are. She is a warm and welcoming, always happy to share what she has or to help someone who is in need. For this she is known to be a very giving healer and does not often demand payment for her healing services. Perhaps she is too giving, her extreme kindness almost a fault of hers. But she just wants to help people the way others have helped her.

Despite being blind Mana is very confident in herself and doesn't like to trouble others to aide her due to her disability. This can cause her to get into accidents time to time but she always just shrugs it off with a smile. She doesn't like to be a bother to people so will go out of her way to avoid so. This can, admittedly, stress her out at times- especially when she really does need help -but she tries not to let it show and just swallows that anxiety deep down. This can cause her to have small anxiety break downs time to time and she is horribly embarrassed by them but there is little she can do about it.

Becoming friends with Mana is very easy. She is always happy to chat with someone and can be a bit too trusting too quickly. She tries to see the good in everyone and thus it can cause her to lay her trust in the hands of people you might normally not. Whether it ends well or not she takes it in stride, it's just the trials of life. As a friend she is always eager to help when she can and delighted to spend time with you. She is very loyal and caring, a friend you will have until the end without a doubt. And enemies? Just people she needs to try to be nicer to is all, they'll be friends eventually.

History

Mana was born in Kugane to the Iteya family, a small Raen Au Ra family known for being researchers on magic and aether. She was, sadly, born blind. But she learned from an early age how to cope with this and to get around her disability. Through her parents she found a fascination in the study of aethers and learned rather early on how to be able to read and sense the aether currents around her. It was perhaps due to her blindness she was able to better focus on this sense, having no visual distractions from it. She was delighted, with this talent, to be able to help her parents with their research while growing up.

her pre-teens she was discovered to possess the ability of conjuring and thus was quickly tutored in the ways of the conjurer and later, the ways of the white mage. She rather enjoyed these healing talents that she learned, it lending her the ability to help the people around her who needed is most. She takes seriously her conjuring and has studied hard to ensure that her lack of sight does not interfere with her abilities as a white mage.

Now as a young adult Mana was been bitten by the bug of wanderlust, wanting to leave home and explore the world. She knew it is difficult with her disability but she was determined to explore. As a way to support herself in her travels she agreed to be a field researcher on aether and its currents out in the wild. And so she traveled region to region tracking down the lands currents and writing reports about them to mail home. At last until she found herself in Thanalan for research and met another young Raen, Andrew Quincey, a miner for the guild in Ul'dah. Since he was familiar with the land she hired him to be her guide as she conducted her research of the area.

However in their time working together the two became close friends and after, lovers. Mana had fallen hard for the sweet and gentle but hardworking man and he similarly had become smitten over her. Happily the two spent their time together and ony grew fonder and closer in the process, eventually moving in together. When Mana's research project in the area was complete she chose to retire and to stay in here with Quincey rather than leave on another assignment. She took up a similar but local research job with the Scholar's Guild of Limsa as an aetheric expert. Not long after Quincey and Mana were wed, now happily married and enjoying their simple but content life together.
