Mana and
She is Sophia's lover and mother to Yuu and his siblings. She was cursed by a plant demon due to one of Sophia's experments and became very sickly with plants growing inside of her, the most noticeable is the one growing out of her right eye. Sophia took her DNA and tried replicating with different plant DNAs trying to create a cure for her, ultimately creating her children instead.
After Sophia accidently killed a plant that was inhabiting a demon and in retaliation latched onto the nearest living source, this being Mana. The point of entry was her right eye where a flower now grows and takes root spreading through out her body using her life force as nutrients making her sickly. After awhile and their souls being entangled together *plant demon name holder* hatred dissipates and no longer tries to completely consume her. Now they both live on a special chlorophyll/blood infusion to keep them from taking to much of her life force.
*Plant demon* has shrunk considerably since inhabiting her and now being in a symbiotic relationship.
They do not get along with Sophia and they tend to fight often and Mana has to mediate between both of them. They are selfish but tend to be a pushover with Mana and tend to give in a lot. They sometimes like to tease the children, but is afraid and tends to hide inside Mana when Misaki is around.

After Mana was cursed, Sophia became obsessed with trying to find a cure for her. At first, she tried to stop the growth of the plants inside Mana, but after failing, she eventually moved on to human experimentation to turn people more plant-like. None of the experiments were successful though, either not producing the desired outcome or resulting in their deaths. One of many experiment subjects, Amber, experienced changes such as her eyes turning green and being able to communicate with plants. After all of Sophia's attempts failed, she decided to try creating plant-human hybrids to try to displace Mana's curse. However, by the time she was able to create a successful hybrid, Mana's soul was fused with the demon's, together, forming a symbiotic relationship.
