The character is horrible at socializing, terrible at expressing his emotions—if he even has those. Usually seen as grim and dull, he finds a ring in a forest during his visit to a certain grave there. The ring is possessed by a spirit, but not an ordinary wrathful one. Instead, this spirit is the complete opposite of him and had lived an outgoing life. The spirit decided to help the man in opening up to the people around him and further improve his image to the townsmen as he saw how this affected his life -- possessing him and taking over his life time to time. Later on, after hearing just the spirit’s voice for a while and adjusting to his dual personality, he guides the ring’s owner to an abandoned house where there was a mirror that could allow the owner to see the spirit.
